Hastur.. Far be it from me to stifle your creativity or flair, but..There are some legitimate purchases that I will permit, but a lot of what you're suggesting has no..Real effect that I've come up with yet. Or that I want to come up with effects for, because several of them are things that are(to me) Either mundane villainy or would draw too much attention. Carbombs? How needlessly mundane, you have giant lasers. Armored cars? I don't know about you, but I notice every single armored car. I do not however notice vans marked with various businesses, or mid-sized family sedans. Attack dogs look suspicious, require paperwork, are easily noticed..

Extortion, stealing, or large scale plotted missions are the only way to gain resources or cash. Piracy or bootlegs or what have you is a fine way of changing the flavor but..Yeah. I haven't given anyone any bonuses for seriously outside the box thinking yet. And dont plan to. The mission types are there for a reason. It defines activities so I dont have headaches or rules questions that amount to 'can x minion do y?' By having loosely defined missions I've already answered this. Not everything evil you could do currently fits, this is true. But eventually everything will.
Ok thats what i thought after seeing no difference back when i was adding flavor to my actions, but the battle modifers you showed made me unshure since i remember modifiers for little things like ambushes or recklesness. i'll stick to the formula then.
but what are spies better at than regulars, just a small chance of infiltration? or are they better scouts/information gatherers
Could a reporter bribe a bruiser to join me? or is some other minion better at it?
If I added oilcan dispensers to my cars would that be more genre appropriate or is that still outside the box? Is it close to being acceptable?
as it is im willing to spend money for bonuses, the chemistry drugs cost resources for a one time use and i thought attack dogs would give a bonus to my guards guarding roll (presumably they have one like a combat roll) The chemistry drugs are fleeting for defence so arent worth it to me to buy but attack dogs would carry over and be a good investment.

Furtuka went back outside and stood in the rain keeping an eye on the actions of the people on the docks, and of the patrons going into the bar.
The rain slicked off Furtuka as he stood outside, Next door is a weapons shop and clothing store. A chicken runs out of the Stein Haus past Furtuka and out into the street, A Dragonborne rushes out after it into the rain. Furtuka studies the people on the docks, It takes time to make them out from this distance, but there are a pair of women gathering kelp from the docks, a fisher cleaning fish and throwing the guts out over the docks, A horseman concealed in a cloak, a guard patrol 4 men strong, and a child that ambushes passers-by with an invisible crossbow. A boarded up cairrage is pulled along down the street, with its beast of burden struggling to bring it up the slope.

Hastur, can Jagermonsters be a race?
Yes i just read their entry on a wiki of some sort and i like the idea of a race created by drinking a potion. Also, hats are cool, and Jaeger-riles are a thing so it all fits in nicely. Ive heard of this girl genius thing before but i dont know anything about it so if i pervert jagermonsters somehow then it is sombody elses fault not mine :)

Luci waves the Goatman doe over, "Here, a few drinks for the Lizardmen in the corner, on behalf of the goblin seated with them. Please don't mention me, and I'll give ya a bonus couple of coins after you serve them." She then hands the waitress about two dozen gold dubloons, "Make it something their species enjoys."
"Shure thing right away" she says. (-24 coin for Luci)

"Now now, that's the last thing anyone wants" Icho said, giggling. She started to edge towards the sargeant."Well, why don't you tell me about yourself, hm?"
Gruff Lizardman - "oh now shes done it"
Sargent Lizardman "Well it all started during the Reign of the Cobalt Dragon Gruaghgoloth or however you pronounce it. most would say it would start when i was born, but it was during the wars against the armies of the undead messiah that i was reborn! i had joined the navy aboard the trireme Helopolis, fitted with a great brass ram. rowing was a hassle, but i lived for boarding actions, there no practice like hacking apart the undead in between hours of rowing. And this was back in the olden days when we only had 2 rowers per oar! So their forces were in shambles, the undead are just no match for the speed of the living at war, unless you are talking vampires, those guys are why i wore an onion on my belt, we all did in those days, made the ship smell less like rotting fish and waas good in a pinch to eat to boot! where was I? Oh yes, so we had just been disengaging from a successful ramm, but the waters were chocked full of these floating undead, clawing up the sides of our boat! 'Course the oarsmen like me were the last to be informed we were being overrun up top. So I charge up and take a fallen officers falx and start going apeshit on everything without a pulse, it was like i was possessed by the fury of the blood god himself! I saw only targets. I received a commendation for that one, we lost many men on the deck, but we the rest fought our way down to a cabin and held them at bay for what seemed like hours before we were boarded by allied forces. The pigman mercernaries really cleaned up, if the commander had been a ratman they would have just set fire to the ship as soon as save their comrades...blah blah"
the Sargent illustrates his ramblings with a slice of pie and a table knife held in each hand
Gruff Lizard- "Oh look more brews! Its about time we were appreciated by these locals, its not everybody that gets to benefit from annexation by the empire of the dragon"
All the lizarmen "Hail Dragons!"

I used last post in first post out. So basically i worked backwards through the posts for each character, if you posted something different earlier and then posted sooner then the soonest post was what i used for your shift. In other words if you posted something different it overwrote what you wrote last.

also: Mirran got a Rp bonus to rolls (+2), i think somebody else did too but i like to encourage that kind of thing!

EDIT: O hey, so somebody kinda offered to help, and I'd like if somebody took over doing the MOODS for me because i dont like doing them, So ima post the If/then modifiers that apply later, so anybody can do it.

OOoo! I choose extortionist
Q: Can i buy or make stuff that i have not researched? Like a carbomb? or armored cars, or attack dogs. Or do they have no effect if they are not unlocked through research?
Is extortion and stealing the only way of getting money? I tried piracy and selling bootlegs earlier but does specifying what I do have any in game effect?
P.S. Dibs on the rock! I bet its magic!

sorry if  im taking too long, I like play by post cuz i can just gm when i feel like it. I havent updated the game yet so i was not aware that there was no consensus. I dont want anybody getting frustrated cause its not like we are sitting around a table together. i'll let everyone know if i need more actions declared. (course declaring the partys intent still will help)

Day 15-The Patience of the dungeon inhabitants begins to wear thin, creature comforts are demanded to satisfy the need for progress. All creatures now require a Lair. Even if its just a cot under your workshop table. (everybody need designated bed minimum)

Mirran (-1 micropiglet, -beetleparts +5 units of Spiced Meatloaf+) Cooks up a batch of Meatloaf, it is a work of genius considering the ingredients. She feeds some to Rahal, who is suspicious at first, But enjoys it heartily. Then she sleeps in her coffin, Then she practices throwing potion-like things. (48/100 practice)

Gestuch scrounges around for tools, and finds the bare minimum to get started, But the workshop he found it in is nice, and will do wonderfully. he gets started building a flesh golem the parts are plentiful and he makes  progress (80$/960$) finally he sleeps  to end the day.

Bernard works on the manaburn enchantment, he is close to completion, (84/100) and he works on the healing circle 84/100. He ends the day drowsy.

Rarrgh went, and grabbed the corpse of a dead frogman who had recently attacked the group who had made this their home. He dragged the corpse tothe science lab, and began working on turning his mana into solid, invisible strings to connect to the corpse, andwhen connected the strings would allow Rarrgh to control it like his actual body, but at the same time allow him to use his own body for battle, or other tasks. If this was sucessful he went, and began making the other corpses into puppets so that he w=could have four puppets to use in combat. He makes progress in the sense that he begins to sense hungry sprits about him, but how to harness this potential energy source is beyond him, but he hits a wall going further, and despite all his contemplative reflection, he cannot yet figure out how to manipulate these energies. He ends drowsy

Dragnar finds the corpse of the Drider piled into a corner of Gestuch's new workshop, it seems nobody is using it. So dragnar makes a stone coffin, it is a lot of work but he finishes it in one shift, even etching a little spider image onto the top. (+1 filled Coffin). afterwards he sleeps, and gets back to work making stone thrones, making one, not his best work. (+1 throne)

Shigon works at his workshop, and finishes the bed (+1 bed) he then gets to work on a suitable chair, but his carpentry talents leave much to be desired and he has to start over partway through, he makes the easiest chair like thing possible, and just barely manages a lopsided stool.  Shigon sleeps

Sprite "Muhahaha! At last my minions awaken! Soon I shall rule this miserable cavern and then the world! Now to work."
He begins to instruct them to farm, planting seeds into the muddy ground by the river, The Goombah look on in amazed puzzlement. "EAT?". Sprite shows them how to bury them in his their finger, The Goombahs doublestomp them, they all starts hopping up and down/ Sprite hands a seed to the smartest looking goombah, He eats it and the others nod on in agreement. Sprite starts selective breeding a new strain that will have arms instead. (12/100 research)

Rahal is recovered from his wounds, and his mood is improved by some quality meatloaf, so he starts research on "force field runes" he make makes barely any progress, mostly moping. (6/100 force field runes) He needs to improve his mood back to normal before he can really focus on something. He also sleeps, with 2 shifts its well rested even! (+mood)

The Imp does a little digging

The Mobling brings an armful of grubs to Mirran while she cooks, drooling, his personal stash, (+16 grubs)

The Portal flashes to life once again, a floating skull floating cooly out. It floats out over the water and to shore, making no offensive gesture to the dwarf working at the banks. The dwarf moves his hand from the tool to the morningstar for a second, raising one eyebrow, but moves it back and gets back to work just as quickly. The Portal pushes lapping river-waves at Dragnars feet.

STOCKS -2 salvaged blood, -4 food

The hand jumps off Dragnars helmet just as he shield rims himself to be rid of it, jarring himself. The hand misses its leap at Bernards face though, It lands, and is incinerated at short range by Shigon. Who then stomps it for good measure.

The Black ork gets there, He can still attack the torso?

-END BATTLE
(next post is next day)

Ah, right. Well if that's the case I'll edit my post, not sure though. :P ...I thought the waitress was a frogperson...
OH? I'll delete the goatdoe comment then. The server is a goatwoman, the frogman is there to hands you a moist towel after peeing in the trough. But he'll obey a request for a drink!
Ps i know nothing about boats, i just want to throw that out there so everybody know ahead of time. heh

I need to do something about the X-man names. I should rename them all how about
Hyenaman - gnoll
Pigman- Gamorean
Lizardman- Kestratii or something
Dragonborne- not kobolds
snakeman- Yaun-ti
Frogman- Slaad
Ratman-skaven
Goatman-clanfear
spiderman- Skreen or something
Apeman-dwarf
That way if you call someone a frogman its a racial slur, what do you guys think?

"Heh, can't go hungry with the amount of food being imported here. Though you could go out and see what the peasants are doing, for all you know they could be burning what food they can't eat because a merchant or a spy paid them to burn their crops"
Sargent Lizardman- "Oh the seafood is hauled in here's shure, but thas mostly for cleaning. It gets shipped out with the rest of the the people here who knows what's good for thems. Thats what gets me with folks these days" The lizardman begins to get frustrated "They wouldnt starve if they were willing to work, we live in an age where a commoner can afford a lowly carabiner, and shoot a Knight right out of the air! If he's got the stomach to hold hes ground, look that Hipogriff in the eye and shoot 'ems at 5yards. Think of the ages past where brothers would pick up arms in a spearwall to fight the monstrosities out there to fight for their crops, or their herds. Now they come to us for handouts!"
Gruff Lizardman Soldier 'What we need is another war!"

Yar, In a pick-pocketin' mood... the Dragonfolk thinks

Action: Yark scopes out the adventurers without moving from his seat, trying not to let on that he's doing so.

The adventurers peer occasionally at the party, Yark circles about and approaches from a different direction, his size allowing him to scoot up to the adjacent booth unnoticed.
"did you hear those guys, I think the'yre going to steal a boat"- Cloaked Frogman
"What's it to ya, is there a bounty on their heads? I didnt think so. We have bigger things to worry about, are we going to take this job or not. I know the job's board have a bad reputation, but we are out of options, my folks have to eat"-Tatood Dwarf
"I'm Hungry"-female Ogre swordsman
"Well it may be a deathtrap, but we spent way too much on her greatsword, We might as well get some use out of it. She hasnt even killed anything with it yet."
(oops i didnt notice you said without moving from your seat, my fault)
