Hellmoo is being too annoying, disconnecting me too much, getting past character creation is a pain, i'll change ISP's tomorrow and try again, meanwhile i'll just try to get past the annoying character gen.

Don't worry about it, i'm pretty sure he'll use his axe properly, but don't expect him to use both shields, even though its possible he will.

In earlier releases, you could see dwarves carrying 2 swords in one hand at times, but i never found out if they fought with both or only one, or switched between the two randomly.

If toady didn't use placeholders, we probably wound't even have a DF to play, since practically everthing will be developed/expanded upon in future releases.

I wonder if anyone's still using my brabury apartment. Anyways, i got this rusty AK-7 rifle and now i need to buy some 7.62mm rounds for it before i finally delete my clone and plunge my nodachi into myself to reset.

I'm about to start a new fort which is going to be on a Z level rich place with HFS and magma, but first i want a new design for my entrance, i aways do the same thing for the entrance which is creating an entrance hall with the trade depot on it, a door in the back leading to a corridor with the barracks in one side and some office or shooting range in the other :/. Its efficient because during sieges my military dwarves are aways close to the entrance, but i want another design.

Life Advice / Having trouble connecting to certain sites.

I've been having this problem for a while now, certain sites simply refuse to load or load very very slowly, these being wikipedia and hell.game-host.org (  :'( ), and i'm pretty sure it isn't my ISP. I'm running windows xp sp2 professional, i also have trouble opening flash based stuff online, some don't load at all, while some load very very slowly.
I checked msconfig, turned off all non microsoft processes, updating java, no firewall on, no anti-virus software active, and it still won't connect to said sites properly (it does connect actually, but very very very slow, and since i have this problem with hell.game-host.org too, mushclient locks up when connected to hellmoo at certain points).

Any ideas on what could be causing this, i've got this problem for a week now.

Sneak is great if you wanna do weird illegal shit in front of cams and not be seen, like killing and raping. It also keeps things from aggroing you to a certain level, AFAIK, but PCs can see you normally.

I enjoy playing DF, but at the moment there isn't much endgame material to play around with, so i expend my DF time creating odd thingamagigs and megaprojects.

I guess thats supposed to means goblins live in an enclosed society where everything is decided by the leaders, so there's no real need for an economy.

I thought daggerfall was... Boring, don't shoot me.

The graphics didn't bother me, they were even pretty for a game of the time, its just the combat was so, so so so boringly slow. It took ages to take a single swing at something, and the fact that stealth based characters were near useless in it didn't make things any better.

Morrowind was fun, with the expansions and a few mods, but i still think the combat and the sneaking could use some tweaking and improving.

Oblivion solved that, sneaking in oblivion was surprisingly fun, and the combat was improved, but it ended up looking like a more realistically designed zelda turned RPG with less action and a bit (a bit) more of dept (and without the awesome parts, of course).
I don't think it'd be appropriate to expect a better experience out of TES V, but hell, we can hope?

Seems similar to some game i faintly remember, something like abomination.

Not a bad idea if the setting is good and the gameplay is nice, but its not a original concept D:.

Best players are goons, actually. I'm a goon myself, though i stopped actually posting on SA a long time ago, now i just tend to post on 4chan or 7chan, but 7chan got shot in the head, curb stomped, and burned to ashes some time ago.

Anyway, people with alot of brains and good craft, medic, hack and other brain skills are aways on high demand. That however, doesn't mean that combat centered people can't be interesting aswell, this game has so many combat aproaches, that thanks to mutations, throwable explosives, guns, etc.

Wrestling got a buff in hellmoo recently, and if you get the hooligan mutation you can headbutt people to stun them!
