DF Gameplay Questions / Re: Dwarf-made chasms?

what i would suggest is only make the pit one z level but then put a trap field at the bottom of the pit, works efficiently, and if you use cage traps then you can just sell the goblins to the next traders for something, or hey, live target practice!

DF Suggestions / Re: Dragging?

yeah but that's just dwarfs killing each other by grappling, what we are talking about is actually taking some creature by a body part and dragging them while prone a distance, either into a trap, or straight into a cage.

a single dwarf drags an unlimited creature cage up the stairs of the cave, 20 dwarfs swarm a kitten looking to drag it into a cage, even better the kitten escapes and drags five dwarfs off the side of a cliff.

I don't know, it seems like an easy way to make a hilarious bug.

still it would make it rather realistic.

maybe it'd be best to also set up a resistance type setting where depending on the strength of the dragee and the dragger the person being dragged could have a chance to escape the clutches of the dragger, if done right this could also possibly fix the bug with wooden cages holding megabeasts.

other than that it's a pretty good idea
