In Morrowind, most NPCs would react differently depending on the quality of your clothes.
Most people were really offended if you weren't wearing any pants.

Now you say "you lose 1 point when your opponent throws paper". Now, your rules state that you gain a value if you win. Nothing at a loss. Are you saying that when you win with a rock, your value increases by 3, but your opponent decreases by 1 (value of paper)?

Prepare for a heavily scripted, most-likely-to-be-abandoned RPG!

However I wish you the best of luck on your future endeavors. My prediction shalt not falter thou.

Hope you didn't get a dumb processor.
OCTOcore probably is useless for dwarf fortress.

Make a new youtube account if your old one is bricked.
Honestly, I don't know a better alternative. I could share my giant list of video host sites, but they all suck compared to youtube.

Here's some:
  • Dailymotion
  • Metacafe
  • Viddler
  • Veheo
  • Revver

Making a video tutorial of every feature in dwarf fortress.
It would take long, and you should constrict each video to the original tileset. That way, anyone can pop into any particular video when they need help, and not have to install some random tileset.
I would also not do the video tutorials in a PART ONE, PART TWO, PART THREE, ETC. style with chronology being a significant role in the learning. I would rather make a video seperately for each and every feature (or sets of related features).
You know, now I feel like doing this. Maybe I will.

If you are such a hardcore gamer how come you use an icon pack?

BTW, that cage should've been made of pitchblende to make it work best.

No, it shouldn't. For your theory to be correct, the cage's material should not hold any significance, as long as it could act as a solitary confinement chamber, to prevent the standard observer (in this case: not the cat), from actually observing the contents of the cage until the given time thereafter. However, the cage SHOULD contain an elaborate rube-goldberg setup that would cause the cat's rather fatal death. "Pitchblende", more formerly known as Uraninite, contains a radioactive isotope, and is not pure itself. Something such as Uranium (with uraninite contains), would be a much better supplement. Other things included would be a Geiger counter, a hammer, and a vial of lethal poison.

Your bad joke isn't even funny. It's insulting.

Anyone happen to know this one utility similiar to 3Dwarf?
I forgot the name, so I can't seem to find it.
It is a 3D visualizer for dwarf fortress, but it was realtime and had some little features to edit in-game stuff (can't remember what exactly).
It had a nice interface, easy to use.
It ran along side 40d, and it didn't appear to cause much lag.

3Dwarf doesn't like me. Give's me an error saying that dorf fort isn't running. Might it be because I am playing on the latest developer version (40d9)?

Curses / Re: Port of LCS to nintendo DS ?

Get linux on your DS, then follow some tutorials on how to port normal linux games and apps to the DS, and repeat it with LCS.
I would totally do it if I had a slot2 thing set up.

DF Suggestions / Re: a "Pregnancy" status ailment
« on: December 14, 2008, 05:17:00 am »
You amuse me with your ideas!
Dwarves do not treat pregnancies as you humans do. Dwarves have their babies when they feel like it. Dwarves do not treat the offspring as you humans do either, or cater to the pregnancy. Dwarves have babies, and there is nothing more to it. This is because all Dwarves are born Manly.
But yes, a little status thingy that says a dwarf is pregnant would be nice.
