If I jump in now which faction I should be in?

Yeah, it's pretty insane. I really want to know why Trump doesn't get this assassination pieces.

Not sure what you're talking about.....

Scandals or deliberately dug up roadblocks like Benghazi.

Well, people can talk about how he drives his companies into ground while getting monies out of it. But for most Republicans, talking about these are going to massively backfire.

Besides, he looked like the candidate which caresses the teabaggers best.

It would split democratic establishment voters.  The establishment wouldn't because Democratic politicians tend not to jump ship after they endorse and most national democratic politicians have already made an endorsement.
Unless Sanders might get a plurality in this case, and Sanders could in theory pull a Corbyn there...

Everything I read says it's unlikely to happen after the lovefest that was the first democratic primary.  Biden is unlikely to win unless Hillary collapses under BENGAZI BENGAZI BENGAZI.  The debate showed that is unlikely to happen.
I can see insults of "Biden is a closet Sandersite" incoming. It would have split the Democratic establishment.

That said, having an establishment doesn't mean that it is also duper organized.

And how much advanced electronics actually NEED the labour for its production? How much business actually NEED the people in making decisions? Without a physical storefront why would you need anyone other than a fully mechanized warehouse?

Well all that mechanization stuff is very expensive to setup.  It's probably cheaper to hire humans for the length of time it would take for your automated process to become obsolete.

At one point I was doing plastic and metal work using equipment that was holdovers from the 70s.  I as I remember, that the market value of the parts I was making was upwards of 100 dollars an hour.  But I was only doing it part time because the market for these parts was pretty small.  There was no need to setup a super automated process for all this stuff when you could instead hire one semi-skilled laborer.  Certain a robot could have done that job better then me, but a robot wasn't needed.  The same thing holds to a lesser extent with any production.  A robot CAN drive a car, but the price of a robot needs to be low enough to replace a given driver.  A robot can replace an assembly line worker but different tasks have different robotic and non robotic costs.
At least you are enjoying your job. When job satisfaction is at an level that you won't feel alienated traditional Marxist economy breaks down.

Back to the decision making part, though. A lot of low-level decision making is based on contingencies: I work for a factory (well, we remote control things cross national borders). Today we discovered that one of our suppliers has delivered the wrong kind of label. Turn out that it is one of the very usual causes: because one of the people in the whole command and supply pipeline don't read the F__king manual. In an ideal world, when we received an order for a recurring item, we should immediately place an order for all its materials, using specifications as last time, and the suppliers would immediately arrange to deliver the goods, and so on. Every step is a potential cause of error if a human is involved. If we can automate the whole ordering process, we can at least eliminate these kind of human errors. Yet we are still 100% by hand. Oh my oh my oh my.

Not over time, especially if you're trying to prove/disprove a theory comparing resource usage in two periods 80 years apart.

You might as well say the laws of thermodynamics have been disproven because a dollar today doesn't buy as much horsepower (based on one gallon of gas in a Model T engine) as it did in 1930.

A dollar in 1930 is considerably more than a dollar in 2015, for most resources. Conversely, many of the products we use regularly now require materials, processing and especially logistical chains that Keynes probably could scarcely have imagined then. How many people regularly ate food imported from halfway around the world on a daily basis then? How many had advanced electronics that were the end result of hundreds of chains of production in a dozen or more countries?

Compared to the 1930s, we ALL live like royalty.
And how much advanced electronics actually NEED the labour for its production? How much business actually NEED the people in making decisions? Without a physical storefront why would you need anyone other than a fully mechanized warehouse?

Well, the social media post-mortems seem to be giving the debate to Sanders by a pretty big margin. Be interesting to see how that translates to poll numbers now.

EDIT: heh...meanwhile, the assorted punditry are gushing over Clinton. Interesting illustration of the generational gap.
This is a battle which both sides can claim victory. Bernie got his message known probably the first time for many voters, and HRC played a very conservative game by talking about "safe" issues, hoping that she would not bleed much to Sanders after this debate (which should happen due to her high name recognition).

It's explicit in the Constitution what would happen.

Quote from:  25th Amendment
Section 1. In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.
Section 2. Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.
Section 3. Whenever the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that he is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, and until he transmits to them a written declaration to the contrary, such powers and duties shall be discharged by the Vice President as Acting President.
Section 4. Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.
Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.[3]
How about if both houses is hell bent on an impeachment of the then VP - for example if the impeachment of P also relates to the VP, and they also refuse to confirm any VP nominated by the then VP (or cooperate with him, in any case)? Should the Pro Tem jump in?

We should have had more democratic debates IMO.
... I'll be the first to admit I haven't exactly been following the debate schedule, but shouldn't there be more coming up in the future? Your wording seems to suggest that there won't be, which... would surprise me. Primary votes don't start until February or march or thereabouts, iirc. We've still got three or four months of campaigning at a minimum, and that's discounting that the primary votes don't end until something like five or six months after they start. Still a ways to go.

Theres only six democratic debates compared to the 11 debates that the republicans are doing. The last time the democrats did debates (in '08), there were like 28 debates or something. Some argue that limiting the debates to 6 gives Clinton an advantage over the other candidates.

Also, if Trump manages to survive until late February, he's probably going to be eaten alive in the February 26th debate which is sponsored by NBC/Telemundo and National Review.

I don't know. But then I can imagine if Sanders lost steam a lot of progressives will jump ship and make sure Trump gets elected. He should break records for the shortest tenure of an elected POTUS.

Aha, no. You joke about it, but actually having him elected would be disastrous, even if he was impeached literally inside of a month.
Yes but that month will be no better nor worse than HRC as POTUS.

One thing the treasury could do is mint a trillion-dollar coin. They decided not to do it last time, but it's still an option as far as I know.

I mean, if you stole it, how would you use it?
Most importantly the coin can be so small that it can only be seen under a microscope (or scanning electron microscope).

Of course, it crosses a certain rubicon, but I would rather want this be crossed if US is stuck with its undemocratic legislature.

Which terrain types will we be able to select?
the complete list of the 16 terrain tiles are as follows:

- Plains/Savanna, Oil
- Plains/Savanna
- Plains/Savanna
- Mountains, Ore
- Mountains, Ore
- Mountains
- Mountains
- Forests, Oil
- Forests, Ore
- Forests
- Swamp/Jungle, Ore
- Swamp/Jungle, Oil
- Swamp/Jungle
- Wasteland/Desert/Tundra, Oil

I know there are more "hard" terrains than "easy" terrains but then, but.
In any case I want to give you a chance in customization.

There is no front loaded complexity. All I want are names because I don't want to be stuck with the Island of Forenia.
