Can I get a high-five for us almost decisively losing the game for town at the last hurdle?

*high five*

Just imagine if Elephant Parade hadn't clutched it out on N1 like that.

Final Survey:

1. A satisfactory return to mafia.

2. The most enjoyable part of the role was being in a group chat. It was masons this game but it would've been fine if it were just any group chat, even if it wasn't alignment confirmed since just being able to discuss things during the night phase is very potent. The other parts of the role were meh. Useful, certainly, but stopping my target from targeting me is dubiously useful since the symmetric relation for night actions doesn't happen that often, except in lylo scenarios. The role is probably one of the strongest roles to have in lylo, and the role was most interesting during that time, but not so much all the other times. Also the role could have been more terribly ironic. I guess shooting TricMagic was fun.

3. Think through all the rules to avoid making meta reasoning viable e.g. the discussions about second mafia teams that ToonyMan probably still would have ignored even if you had weighed in on them in time. Also, certain mechanics I think are bad and should be avoided or limited i.e. dead chat and banishment. I don't think anything dead chat had to say broke the game but it makes the game harder for anti town factions if killing players because their role results are worth fearing is not viable because the information could still make it into the day game. Also I guess banishment could be fine if it doesn't happen to a player for three cycles but forcibly removing a player from being able to play mafia, and potentially forcibly removing yourself from playing mafia, seems suspect from the 'what did they sign up for' sort of perspective.

4. It was adequate.

5. This was your least shitty game, good work, don't let it go to your head.

Also, I don't think townies should be given kamikaze kills since they have the potential to instantly take out two town players (as happened here).

I think that one was fine.

Town players shouldn't make bad decisions!

Alright, Crystalizedmire has been offline for twenty minutes, so I'm going to revoke being polite and asking for her opinion because I am impatient.

ToonyMan, cast your vote.

No, I don't completely trust you, ToonyMan, but if the game ends, I'll find out whether I should have, and if the game continues, well, I'll have to think about that in more detail.

Crystalizedmire, I know you don't have a vote, but please state your thoughts about what choices we can make that win the game.

Hector and Jim are 100% confirmed town, Toony, as I said, doesn't have a groupchat, and I of course confirm myself. So does anyone mind if I toss my vote on Crystal here for obvious reasons?

I will allow you to do this, fully aware that there could be complete BYOR bullshit nonsense that could instantly lose me the game if I do so.

Alright.

I'm pretty iffy on your reasoning but there's no need to belabor it.

I think I'm ready to vote. I will vote last for the hammer.

Lenglon? Crystalizedmire? Anybody else want to say anything?

So when EP and I were talking about how the possibility of a second scum team was low because of meta reasons about the second scum team rules and our conversations with Fallacy in mason chat, why didn't that sink in?

Particularly the part where we mentioned Fallacy would have confirmed the existence of a second scum team to both scum teams at the start of the game, and that BHK didn't seem to conclusively know there was a second?

I think the only oddball here is Lenglon's claim.

Somebody try to convince me there's a universe where Imp's inspect on hector13 could somehow be false. I don't think this is possible, and the answers to my questions to Fallacy about it in mason chat point to that being the case, but, permit me a moment of paranoia here.

I also wasn't unconvinced by Lenglon's suspicion of you two, sorry.

Elephant Parade is flipping out in dead chat about this, I'm sure. Not at you, but Fallacy.

So when EP and I were talking about how the possibility of a second scum team was low because of meta reasons about the second scum team rules and our conversations with Fallacy in mason chat, why didn't that sink in?

If I take the ultra reductive approach, which seems like a pretty reasonable thing to do, then it's probably Lenglon.

ToonyMan (almost super-) killing a mason claim is pretty suspect as well.

Crystalizedmire claimed action failure before I claimed that I targeted her, so that tracks, and I guess that could have been faked but it would have to be a really tortured, pathological night game scenario for that to have happened I feel.

So I guess Lenglon.

Lenglon and Crystal need to full-claim.

Yes. Lenglon dodged (or forgot, or missed) my question about what other abilities she could have purchased with the currency she gains.
