It turns out the magma in the temple doesn't count for magma buildings. *Throws hands up into the air* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Does that of HFS?

Also, thing I noticed:
Why sunberries?
Sunshine.
MOONSHINE.

mind, there shouldn't be a penalty if the fort is in fact finished before eight years.

Though, if you REALLY can't think of something to do to use more time..

I hadn't encountred the 'unconscious dwarf = immortal' bug until this troll decided to take an unskilled guy by the throat.

IT's been three six nine months. He's still unconscious(and ecstatic !?) The troll is o'erexerted most of the time.

Found an odd speed thing- looking at an (exposed) bottomless pit at surface causes framerate to go from about 180 (when looking elsewhere) to about 80, with no dwarfs doing anything.

Less of a hit but similarly if higher up. I'm thinking it might be how the "is-this-sky-tile" calculation is, but I dunno. (Nor do I know if it's in your branch.)

(for a bismuth bronze item FFS).
Cool story. Handy tip though: smelting bars of (mandatemetal) count for mandates, so you can get double your noble mileage if you hold off on certain metals 'til your Royal Highnesses decide they want some of their favorite alloy.

Then again, sometimes you just get that Adamantine Baron (my 'ery first) Him, you give the lever t'pull.

Why doesn't anybody want to know about underground stuff? When the mole people rise up against our dwarves, it's your fun if we're unprepared because we decided we cared more about other stuff.
I think that's it.

Yeah, but they're not that dangerous- since they come singly. A nonameskill weapon-fighter eats them up. Actually, my marksdwarf shot once, then beat it about with crossbow without hammer skill to death.

Eh... I think he got lucky with an early hit and then capitalized.  They can be pretty ugly little shites, one on one.
Nah. The swordsdwarf, unarmored, also took one with no wounds. (Iron Longsword, no quality)

EDIT: lemme check the stat-ups. Extremely Strong, Extremely Agile, Tough. And Competent Wrestler now along with Swordsdwarf...and has a narrow snakeman tunic in one hand along with the sword  :-X The marksdwarf is Perfectly Agile, too, just from yapping. That meeting hall to keep my surface sand active is working wonders...Axedwarf has two grimeling kills as well, with only no-name.

That's like saying the eggshell's part of the chick. Besides, an apple has many seeds, each of which can independently become a tree or not, so your analogy fails.
So it's like a thick meat covering that entices you to eat it and spread several babies around.

That is the sexiest description of an apple I have ever heard. I can't decide whether that makes it really clever, or just really weird.

*insert GiantCaveSwallow oke here

Huh. Just your luck, all my wildlife's been non-ninja. Half-through and I'm only on my third grimeling. Caught one too.
Beak dogs, on the other hand...hope I got a breeding pair, though I ha'e a few pages of 'em dead. the DM is taking his sweet time with the next immigration wave.

Ninja kobold, too. My guards weren't taking drinks that I saw.

Now the puzzle of how to get dwarfs to build upward smartly without a wall-walk..don't want to spend the time saved freeing them from their stupidity.
