Other Games / Re: StarForge, Anyone tried it?
« on: August 10, 2012, 07:59:17 am »
But I learned my lesson on banking on potential with a few other games that will likely pack up and go home before they are anywhere close to finished.
Such as?

I've created enough grief thank you.
It's actually a valid question. I too am wondering what kind of games/projects you have had this experience with.

602
Yes you should. :p As long as you don't take the game too serious, it's a lot of fun

No no! I was talking about Fable Heroes posing no challenge at all. Earth Defense Force is quite challenging actually, going from pushover easy on the easiest difficulty to ballcrushingly hard on the hardest difficulty.
The game does reward you with better weapons when playing on the harder difficulties so that kind of compensates for it.

Earth Defense Force! I've had tons of fun playing that with friends. It might look like crap but nothing beats having to kill thousands of giant ants, giant robots, giant space ships, giant space stations and of course, giant fire-breathing godzilla-like creatures!
Fable: Heroes is a decent game when you've had a couple of drinks or something along those lines (*winkwink*). There's absolutely no challenge in it at all even on the hardest difficulty but competing with each other for the most gold is a lot of fun.

For the rest? Hmm...There were quite a few games that I've played on the couch with friends but none of them really stand out. Some games like Goldeneye: 007 for the N64 come to mind but playing that now wouldn't be that interesting anymore.

If she really is depressed, convincing her to find help won't do her any good. Depression is usually a negative way of thinking about yourself.
''Why can't I do this?'', ''Why am I so depressed?'', ''Why can't I enjoy the little things?''. Questions like those will most likely go through her mind and attempting to convince her to seek help will only make things worse as she will feel even more ''ill'' and ''different''.
What usually helps is not to enforce the depression by talking about it, but helping her have fun. When she talks about a problem, don't go ''You need help for this!''. Don't give her a special treatment as this will only reinforce the feeling of being different.

I wanna be the guy ;D

Though don't worry about the jaguars anymore. Without the blessing they are nothing :(

611
Ah Fuzzlesticks! I knew I should've kept my priests sacrificing blood. Too bad about the Agarthean frontier though, I kind of looked forward to fighting there :(

Dungeon Defenders! If you like Orcs Must Die then you're going to like this one as well. Having friends to co-op it with makes it a lot more fun though :)

Edit: Oh and it's on sale on steam now :)

I once had a dwarf which kept giving messages of being thirsty and hungry and unhappy. I kept looking at him but didn't know why he wasn't going for a drink.
After a while, he threw a tantrum and destroyed the workshop in the room he was in. Apparently, I had trapped him with the workshop.

I'm imagining a dwarf staring at a workbench, twitching and growling while slowly starving until finally, he snaps and smashes the bench, finally releasing him from his prison :P

Derp, pretender asploded, time to call him back :P

Them jaguars br0. Its no matter though, I can now summon some rather interesting stuff :o

You still took a few of them out :(

I guess I should spread my dominion around then and make it unpleasant. Scorched earth tactics!
