Is it really free, or microtransaction based?

Jakkarra; The map, judging from the video, needs to be compressed a little. The various elements, such as the building to the right of the above picture of the map, needs to be brought closer to the rail tracks.

Otherwise, more strategic clutter needs to be included. high rocks, choke points, huge open expanses tend to lead to constant stalemates due to over reliance of snipers. Like Orange.

What you mean is a non-religious government.

That's all because legislation is done by politicians, who by the nature of the electoral process, are more concerned with political expediency and public relations gained from that sort of nonsense, than with good governance.

Most if not all states with such nonsense on the law books happily ignore their existence. These things are put into state law because it makes a large group of voters happy, and the politicians know it, and they know that their presence there is pointless because such things are nullified by the Supremacy clause* of the United States constitution.

So, when there is a requirement that elected officials acknowledge some kind of God in states like Texas, I don't really personally care, because it doesn't matter. It's language that was inserted into the State constitution by politicians courting the Christian vote, language that is utterly meaningless due to the aforementioned Supremacy clause.

* "This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding."

It looks like they're making good progress. Just play their other game, Lugaru, if you want to get an idea of what to expect from the finished product here.

I never knew it was possible to rape intellectual property.

I think you really need to provide counterproofs to each variety of god individually.

You don't need any counter proofs for anything that has not been proven.

All I'm trying to get at is that there is no downward pressure pushing the Catholic Church to actually do anything. To the contrary, there is positive pressure for them to maintain the status quo and do nothing, because doing nothing has no consequences.

To put it in a more obvious scope,

Code: [Select]
Options:                Do Nothing   ,           Do something

Negative Consequences:  Bad PR                   Bad PR compounded by more in revealing previously unknown crimes,
Positive Consequences:  Bad PR will blow over,   Almost none because of the above

They do nothing because nothing is the least-bad option when measured in terms of maintaining high church attendance, revenues, and political credibility. This sort of scandal has happened several times before, and it's faded into the background din of living. Outrage doesn't last long enough for an institution that's existed for over a thousand years to notice.

The only thing that ought to be called a clown car in Dwarf Fortress is the Uterus of a female cat.

You know how when the leaders of countries do things we don't like, we punish them in various ways, via trade embargo and other such things in order to discourage bad behavior or encourage them to fix institutional problems that led to the bad behavior?

How exactly is it any different? If you want the Catholic Church to change, make it extremely difficult for it to make money. That's what this is all about anyway; bad PR causes a decline in revenues, so bad PR must be kept secret.

Bronze Colossi are not invincible. I gave a grandmaster sword dwarf all adamatine armor and an adamantine sword, and he managed to chop off both hands and feet, and make the rest of the body red, despite the light weight of the material.

I got a crash when creating a dwarf in the arena, using the new version's raw files. Clean extraction of the new version, didn't just overwrite the old one.

The dwarf had grandmaster in Swords, Armor use, shield use, and fighting, and nothing else, not even weapons. As soon as I hit enter to place it, the game hung and soon crashed. If no one can think of a possible cause, or can't replicate it I'll throw it up on the bug tracker in a few minutes.

When irrigating a room, I noticed that suddenly the walls of the rooms started to get splattered with the blood of a dwarf that had died a least two seasons before. Apparently, the blood splashed on the miner who broke the pond wall, and after the water washed over him, the blood was carried across to the edges of the room.

My best guess anyway, his tantrum that resulted in his death never took him to that part of the fort.

I don't know if I'm right on this, but I remember the explanation being that the medi-whatever Bacteria grow where the force is, not the other way around.
