Only if the dwarf in question likes bats. I think. Ive only ever seen them eat purring maggots and lizards.

there is no magma on the map sadly (I thought I said that in the first post.) oddly the stone is about 80% obsidian, soooo... duno.
Quote from: Bloogonis...so magma falls are not possible.
I also have a pair of screen shots from 3Dwarfthis is from my earlyer test upload to 3Dwarf before i started the second statue. you can see my temporary floor scafolding for the arms. I should probably finish those. Will walls suspend from walls a Zlevel above? if not I might have some unhappy collapses when I pull apart the superstructure.Spoiler (click to show/hide)
[Edit] I think the hardest statue will be Armok himself. I think I will dig down and make a cave whit only a Dwarf face at the far wall. caged elves, humans, goblins and dwarfs. goplins to be striped of their weapons and beaten in the temple to make sure there is at least a few "a spattering of blood" in the temple at all times, is there a designation to prevent cleaning from taking place without neglecting the rest of the fortress? maybe I will simply make refuse stockpile for body parts and make sure they are always full.
To be clear - you can tame, breed and eat giant bats, but not "bats", which are vermin, right?
You can catch either, but the latter are only for novelty pets, right?
I have an Idea for a dwarvenmurderrace track:
dig out long, one wide tunnels
put a door at one end
place a useless peasant in there and starve them
line the tunnel with pressure plates and spikes
put food on the side opposite the peasant
open the door
