Ugg waking up after a length dose of spider poison is never pleasant, however I am awake now and moving. It seems we had cleared the place of monsters just before I passed out... To bad I couldn't collect any of that venom though it could have been useful.

Anyways I spent several days in my bed not moving at all while some of the others in the group tended to me, my thanks goes to out them. However I discovered that the group was not able to salvage the Giant Cave Spider's corpse claiming that it simple melted away... I find that hard to believe.

Either way we had collected our money and for some reason we re-entered the cave to investigate some kind of gem that the others had seen shortly after our battle with the Giant Spider... *maybe that is that feeling I got while I drifted in the void of my mind*.

However as we descended again into the caves we were immediately beset upon by monsters of the dark. How they managed to get into the caves are beyond me but we dispatched them with some difficulty... all of my higher spells have been exhausted for this day but I can feel new power radiating through me as if some new enlightenment was just over the next corner.

The gem is what I remember from my void, a cursory glance from my eyes told me instantly that the object. However we decided to rest a bit before examining the object further so that we may recoup our strength for any dangers that the object may have.


p.s. I have this odd feeling about me... I look at the other wizards about me casting spells and they seem to lack the same power and natural skill that I have with the Arcane Arts, I must investigate this mystery further.
