Well that was a good sleep.

Anyway. A mechanic eh? Sure.
Although with kobolds, that only would happen if one appears as a migrant, right? I'm pretty sure my first year will be me trying to put the place back in some sort of order.

That and burying all the dead. Oh god there's corpses everywhere.

For both story, and gameplay reasons, I was thinking of using Dwarf Companion so we can get all these Friendly invaders hostile again. And these two reasons. One, it'd be much more fun. Two, at least the next player in line wouldn't have to deal with iron-wielding enemies right in the fort. Warren. Camp. You know what I mean.

I guess I can throw a map to DFMA. Although last time I only managed to get one level uploaded even when I picked them all. Or then I messed up somewhere.

Actual playing on my part will have to wait until tomorrow though. Got stuff to do but I should have the first year done by then.

EDIT: Oh boy there's a lot of goblins there. An elite bowman too. Or was it crossbowman? This is going to be one fun reclaim.

EDIT2: Oh god what happened I made a map of the place but it's missing pieces here and there I'm not good with computers.

Well to put it in simple terms, since this is a modded game it's best to compress the entire game folder so the players don't have to get the mod files themselves and so on.

Anyway.

Install the compressing program, right-click on the folder where the game is at, and depending on the program somewhere on the right-click pop-up menu there is either an option to put the folder in a rar, zip or whatever your program compresses into, or there's a follow-in link saying stuff like *program name* which upon hovering upon shows another small menu that has the compressing options.

But that's about it in text-form. Or was that too much techno-garble?

So it's pretty much a reclaim trip in the name of all that is good, sacred and skulking?

Because it's kobolds, this might be interesting.

So I figure you'd take the first year since you're da boss of the place or what?

Hmmm.

If you don't feel like writing the Runescape thing, then it's off the suggestions because if the writer doesn't like it, how could the readers?

Of the two stories, I would lean more towards the sci-fi one, although I think there's some issues about the plot. Like that radiation doesn't really mutate you, it kills you. But maybe it was ADVANCED radiation! Or maybe it's just one of those things that don't matter to the plot that much and shouldn't be thought about. Maybe simple background radiation that's just enough to mess up cell's in organisms and end up with the various mutations.

And I have a question about the Shifters, if they have that ability to stack their foe's power to their own, and these races exist to kill each other off in any way they can, what's keeping the Shifter's from selecting the best of them and letting him/her kill all, or most of the rest, until he/she has reached a god-like level where he/she could stab the whole world in the back in the blink of an eye. Twice.

I'm not saying that it's bad, but that it has some things that either need some attention, or then assurance that "it'll all be made clear in the story later on". That's what I always get shouted at whenever I write something.

If you've started to write on two stories, post a short example and I might be able to give a honest opinion rather than what I want to see written.

Somehow the Runescape one sounds more interesting than the sci-fi or fantasy story, might be because I've read enough of both of them, but a group of people who destroy an entire online gaming experience? Now that's something new.

It will? Last I heard only way to get liquids to flow off  is underground outflow tunnel, with smoothed walls and carving them as fortifications.

If what you say is true, then I have but one thing to say.

Crap.

Also, it's 5 tiles wide, 8 tiles tall in my version. You could cut it to 5x7 and all you'd lose is a bit of the chasm.

It's the absolute dwarven-found piece of evidence of intelligent design.

That is a risk I am willing to let the other players after me take.

And really? It must have got put in after I checked that thread then. And here I was all thinking I was something big and new.

Makes me wonder if there are other water features like this brook built the same way. Like a major river somewhere. Just waiting for something or someone horrible to come along.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

There's the seed info, and here comes a pic with the location of the place.

Sorry about the fact that it's an abandon/reclaim spot check blurred pic. But pretty much, it works like this:

5 tiles wide, 8 tiles tall. This includes a magma pool at the upper left corner, somewhere in the middle on the right is the bottomless pit, one tile below on the left somewhere is the fun stuff, and on the bottom corner, chasm on the left, underground river on the right.

You could cut it to 5x7 and get 1 tile of the chasm and the underground river, or to 5x6 and make due with the other features.

Uhh, I think it was 4x8 or something. Or 8x4 with the way you put it.
This place has some fun stuff, a pit, chasm, underground river and a magma pool. I also stretched it out to see if the brook was odd in it's other parts.

Even better, I'll take a copy of this world and get you a screenshot where it's at exactly. I looked for it half a hour because originally I went here just for the hell of it, and left. I sort of know where it's at. My gut instinct tells me that. Give me about 5 minutes.

Although don't you need the seed information too? The game this is on is a tad modded, or does that only mess with what rock is where in the world?
