Four hours I believe, though the server might be up in three. If we go with the time that was standard before the break(6pm EST I think it was).
And yes, Journal times. I'm a bit behind, but hopefully this will work, and be interesting enough to those reading.
...Time flows like sand sifting through dustform claws.
The sorcery of other adepts are strange to me. I observed one give up his being to his magics for immortality at the expense of great pain. Suffering to obtain is something I agree with, as it fits into the natural way of life in a desert. However, if I understand things correctly he also has a corruption that may interfere with his un-life as time goes on.
To me, life(and eventual death) is a definition of what we are. Existences struggle against the elemental forces at work in the world. Eventually we die, and return to dust. To be scattered among the dunes of the deserts by the caress of hot winds is an afterlife I hope to achieve when my time is done. It is an enticing thought, to spread myself across the land, and have no worry about bodily functions or persistent life goals.
No, I will not desire the release of death. I merely accept it when it eventually happens. I will not give up in my pledge to expand the deserts of the world. Nor shall I rest when rumors of ancient beasts who lived before the hated growth supporters are yet to be found.
It has been some time since I journeyed with this group. And there are many new faces aboard this sand ship as we approach the next objective. Mau is eager for bandit flesh, after waiting so long. I have been debating if I should give her the clawed enhancement of the panthers we fought in the city. After some study I believe I can replicate the effect, however the cost in both alchemical substances, and loyalty from the cat would cost more to me than the bonus she gets from the procedure. If it were not so, she would be altered immediately.
So for now we wait. My bow is strung and ready to shoot. My shapesand is eager to answer to my mental call. My various vials and splashes are ready to be thrown in combat. And my spells wisp around my head, eager to be brought forward into my mind's focus.
Until the winds return me to the sand, I pledge my heart to the embrace of the desert...
