I've been able to create meat too, but drinks are the thing I have problems with?
How is this wrong?

Gazillion times. My parameters are so unreasonable that there is no way the generator could use the properly. If you want you can press īpī, which will allow the game to create your world with the parameters you set. THe other option in this case is to increase the maximum height of your map and maybe add more peaks.

Note that the legends-only worlds are pretty rare.
You can easily go up to 800:800 rivers and 95:100 volcanism with a minimum of 2500 volcanoes and still get a embarkable world.

Uhh...
I think you misunderstood me. It is totally similar to magenta.
I'm hoping Toady will make it like that though.

P.S. The creatures have black background, does it mean they have magenta in this set? Maybe you should make them transparent on BG instead?
I haven't actually tried if using transparent pngs for animals yet.
Not really sure how it works.

Going to try now!

EDIT: Had no effect. It was the same as with a bmp.

Is there some feature I am not aware of (speaking of transparency)? How is it better than plain old magenta?

Transparency was added with d15 or 16, can't remember.
It allows for more flexibility over what you want thing to look like.
So instead of having black as a background in all tiles, you can now add a semi-transparent layer behind the tile that will inherit the color of the tile. Pngs also allow you to mess around with alpha channels and create antialiased tilesets for example.

I used Photoshop. You should be able to use Gimp as well.
I have included the .psd in the zip file, but Gimp won't open that.

The female graphics look good, but I was wondering...
Where are their beards?

The graphics are mostly from the people who I thanked in the first post.
Here is the tileset though.

Indeed the full arch of the programs is quite large.

Wonderful work. I've tried this myself, but as usually, I failed miserably.

This is my version of a 12x12 pack.
Includes tilesets and character set.
Some graphics made by me, but I think most are by others.

Noticed some dwarf female discussion a few pages back.

Quote
"It was said by Gimli that there are few dwarf-women, probably no more than a third of the whole people. They seldom walk abroad except at great need. They are in voice and appearance, and in garb if they must go on a journey, so like to the dwarf-men that the eyes and ears of other peoples cannot tell them apart.
RK, 360 (App A)"

Thus, dwarven females have beards.
