Indeed many vomits have been vomited while making it.

Think this guy should have died by now? :D

Current mega project/fortress.
It's going to have about a 40 z-level tower in the middle.

Heres a few characters I made :)

Dwarf in adamantine armor.

Same dwarf? as a philosopher of some sort.

Nasty elf-kind.

You can use this floor tile that I made if you want.
I think it looks good.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: Smoothing OCD?

I seriously doubt anyone is actually self-diagnosing OCD. It's just an easy shorthand way to say "this is something I compulsively do in my games"

Brain disorders are a serious thing.
If someone thinks they have OCD or Aspergers they should see a doctor.
Don't take a chance and die home.

It could be brain cancer for all you know.

Get a doctor's note saying that you have OCD and I believe you.
You can't self diagnose this.

One of the most popular trends this OCD these days.

I only read the beginning but I'm sure your story was good; I'll read it later. Just in response to your original points; pets no longer are the FPS killers they used to be; dwarves are far worse and fluids are pretty evil too. Anyhow, if you really want to kill your pets, there are many clever ways to do it. One possible way would be to design a hallway like this:
[S[_L
Where the [ are doors, the S is a spike that goes up and down and the L is the lever that operates the spike. Recruit your dwarf, station him on the empty square (the underscore). Make the second door not passable for pets. Lock both doors when the dwarf and there pet are in their correct places, then ask the dwarf to pull the lever. Crude, evil, but should be effective (I've actually never tried this but I'm fairly sure it would work; I don't kill my pets)

I think pets and other animals can kill your FPS too. I had my fps lowered to around 5 by Rhesus Macaques, who were trying to get into my fortress through a open door which was not pet-passable. So if you have around 30 war dogs with the same thing, I think it might cause some problems.

Downward ramps can be removed with the channel tool.
Can it be done? I tried designating it as a channel.

Reading comprehension: FAIL!

It works for me  ???
