you can engrave the walls to make the other dwarves happy.

362
Which means that more crossbows are needed to defend the spreadsheet!
I need more resources!

which means I need more manpower and materials to produce steel armour, crossbows, and bolts!

363
mind if I join?

364
If my charactor hasn't been replaced yet, I'll take the dungeon master.

Also, I need water for the waterfall and the wells.

365
about my guildhall:

just to clarify, the floor that you have magma in was supposed to be on the other side to allow for water works.

366
I'll take the furnace operator, the metal crafter, and a peasant.

367
On the metalsmiths guild:

Not quite what I had in mind, but it will do for now. I'm not sure how the smiths get any sleep.

Also, wondering where the waterworks for the waterfall are going to go.

368
Anyways, my next charactor shall be called... Vieto.

369
no!!! I died!

as for bringing up water, I'm sure a purpetual motion device powered water pump tower could bring water out of the aquifer... you said there was an aquifer, right?

Well, I thought about my guildhall for a bit, and this is what I have decided to use (no bedrooms added yet, although I suggets making them 4 levels below the main level. The top-left corner is the bottom of the guild hall, top-right is the middle, the bottom-left is the top. This is a practical design to allow magma-workshops to be built. I request clear glass for the glass floors.

If you haven't already dug out anything in my guild, can I have it built into the rock south of the Construction guild? Thanks.

Ok, in truth, Maybe I'll skip fully designing my guild and just design the meeting hall.

372
I'd like to found the fishing guild the moment you get a fisherdawrf. Name him Fortis.

Scratch that. I just checked the map and saw no place to fish. I'll take a craftdwarf instead and found the crafting guild. Name the dwarf Fortis.

you know, if you use the aquifer, you can make an underground lake to fish from.

Also, floor plans:
Pit in Lobby:

floor -2, aka, 3rd floor of meeting hall.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: Can I pave my underground canal with roads?

If its a rock (not dirt) road, it can work, but i'd go with contructed floors.

How come?

roads dis-integrate over time.

I've finished designing the -1 floor and the -2 floor, but the hard part is finding a suitable place of storage. floors -2 to -4 are going to be one big room, containing magma, the work shops, and the the meeting hall (-4) that is complete with a waterfall and a well. -3 and -2 have magma workshops, and will likely have 20 available spots connected to the magma.

-1, -5, -6 and -7 will be dedicated to the well and water works, -8 and -9 will be the living quarters, complete with a central dining hall, -13, 14, and 15 will be dedicated to the tombs, and I haven't decided what to do with -10, -11, and -12. +1 will have fortifications to shoot from, as well as +2.

375
I think that hall is a bit big.

and also, I'm designing my guild using DF, but It will have to wait a bit. I have a design for the lobby though, more will come in the morning.
