i just decided to turn off the economy. can't stand those items scattered around by unorganized dorfs.

Personally, I hate the idea of having my dwarfs participating in an economy.
we are communists at heart.

inod ironfloods the butcher of ears was plowing through another forest retreat as usual, brandishing his masterwork adamantine sword, wearing his superior quality plate mail, when he was shot to the head, lost consciousness and collapsed to the pond, where he was promptly killed. still, he butchered many ears that day.

Or you could pave the sky and suspend it from above.  Orbital Magma Cannons... Hmm.  I think I'd need more scaffolding.
this is so it, i'm going to build a bomb, suspended from a crane by a support. don't know if i'll give it a magma payload or just let it squish the gobbos.

nervous systems never heal anyway. were you training champion wrestlers to be hammerdwarves? wrestling helps to avoid attacks so you might want to first give them some experience there before letting them have fun with the pointy things.

Alright, as always I need some crazy planning to make a keep dead-center. What is the size of each local tile again?
when i want to jind the center i just go in shift intervals from both directions (left/right, top/bottom) of the map, using designations as marks. easier than counting.

Sometimes goblins stop coming because they run out of generals to send at you. This will have changed by the next version. (hopefully)

This shouldn't be the case. They normally (as far as I know - and I've run fortresses for several decades) just send randomly generated squad leaders after the ones on the civ screen are expended.
yep, same here. i was kinda pumped waiting for the goblin king to come but no luck.

here's a gypsum grate that was sitting at my craftdwarf's workshop for years. whenever any new bones became available it was the first to get decorations. it costs 3550 dwarfbucks now.

interesting facts: the craftdwarf made a picture of himself producing an artifact and a picture of a dwarf in dwarf bone.

how hard is it to just make a square then "iterate" the corners until its a circle?

using a script for drawing a circle seems.... redundant.(and that's putting it nicely)

also, stop using tilesets, kids! ;D

i hope it's changed back to the fun way eventually. the last time i did that i just collapsed all the structures i could before my dorfs died. good times.
