« on: July 29, 2012, 08:32:54 pm »Well, I was a pretty bored head of security. So I started to dick around in a certain room that nobody ever seemed to use in the server (booze storage). I eventually managed to make it so if someone stepped into the room, it would bolt and electrify the only exit, and a door holding off a room containing plasma gas combined with sleeping agent would open up, poisoning the victim and making him or her pass out. I accidently triggered it by stepping near the infrared/signaller assembly. Oopsy.

The doppleganger for my Tau Commander hit me with a Photon Grenade, taking control away from me while i promptly got shot and killed by the other dopplegangers.

XCOM: Apocalypse. On Superman difficulty (the hardest difficulty). Aside from being a fair bit behind where air superiority is concerned, i'm not doing too bad.

« on: July 24, 2012, 06:48:26 am »Once, the final boss of Halo 2 jumped off the edge of the platform to an instakill. My friend and I (we were playing co-op) begin to celebrate, until one of us noticed him falling back down from the ceiling, very much alive.
If he falls off the edge, he'll jump into the gravlift in the middle to get back up. The transition's not exactly smooth, but it's to prevent you from instakilling him.

Frozen Synapse. Was in a multiplayer match, i commited my turn but realized too late that i made a critical mistake with one of my guy's orders. However, when the other player commited their turn, the turn glitched and it wouldn't proceed to the next one. After a little while of waiting, we both exited and re-entered the match and it went back to before we committed the turn, so i was able to then rectify my mistake, and the game worked fine from then.
Of course i still got my ass kicked anyway, but that was still rather nice timing...

It really depends on the game. My moniter goes up to 1440x900, so that's what i have it as on the desktop and on any games that aren't as graphically demanding (or as high as i get the resolution in that particular game, anyway). However, if a game is graphically demanding, or even just a bit more of a hog than most games without being that demanding, most of the time i put it down to 1024x768, or even 1280x768 since my moniter's a widescreen.
Speaking of, you might wanna put 1440x900 on the poll there.

But seriously, i've bought like 17 new games so far thanks to this big sale (not counting all the DLC, expansions, etc.). Half of which i can't install this month, because i'm getting close to my monthly download limit just thanks to the first half!
