he was a legendary hammer guy too. with a silver hammer.

with a silver hammer.

silver hammer.

Well, aside from the wrestling fish part, there's your problem...
Silver is really dense and heavy, it'd make a great warhammer.

Shit what, it's dense and heavy? Since when?

Urist McDwarf cancels watching TV. Interrupted by contact with the afterlife.

Theyyyy're heeeeere...

On-topic, +1 for the OP's suggestions, so long as it's moddable (probably work via interactions or something).

You're barking up the wrong tree if you think this was gonna stay locked.

Dragons will respawn infinitely at dragon roosts and you will encounter an infinite number of dragons randomly. The fact that you couldn't absorb its soul is a bug; it's a coincidence that it came up just then.

I thought it was intentional that you can't get souls off Dragons from roosts you've already dealt with? Or was i misinformed?

Don't use a lot of masons to floor it. Constructions take forever and cause lag, especially huge floors. Pump water into it instead.

Because pumping water is so much more FPS-friendly, the water's always available, and the whole pump system fits right into every fort layout!

Wow, the badgers didn't do jack to the migrants, in fact they actually scurried away, only having a brief altercation with one of the migrant Llamas.

CRISIS AVERTED.

Don't forget that it has to have magma at the bottom of said cliff.
>Replace with honey badger
>Replace with Honey Badger made of magma, and magma made of Honey Badgers.

I did an IQ test, and got 100%!

In seriousness, IQ tests aren't hard-and-fast measurements of someone's intelligence. You could get a high score and still be an idiot about alotta things.

Pretty sure it takes effect immediately (though of course make sure that the actual game's not running, you gotta edit the thing and THEN play DF).

DF Suggestions / Re: LET IT RAIN!!! LET IT RAIN BLOOD

...You made it rain blood?

Quote from: Dev log
A few miscellaneous interface checks, and then back to the regional material emissions... and I still didn't manage to polish it off. Some changes are needed. For instance, I initially thought it would be enough to make the regions that rain blood draw from the civilized races, but then we ended up with regions that rain rodent man blood, which isn't as good as raining human or dwarven blood. Of course, you might prefer raining "blood", but we don't have generic blood anymore and I don't think it's proper to add it now that we've got real alternatives, though perhaps a slurry of some kind would be appropriate later. It didn't even work out right with the rodent man blood -- the indexing was screwed up, and we ended up with "a dusting of rodent man skin"... dandruff snow. Less Slayer and more Breakfast Club than we wanted, but at least I sorted that part out.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: Engraving on constructed floors/walls
« on: January 03, 2012, 11:31:36 pm »
There's a bug i noticed that'll probably get fixed soon, so make use of it now. I've only seen it done on floors (constructed and the tops of walls should count) so far, so further !!SCIENCE!! is needed. The floors were wooden, too :P.

>Embark on an area that's temperate but still cold enough that water freezes every now and then
>Designate frozen water to be smoothed or engraved, but make sure that no-one actually smooths them yet (or if you DO smooth them because you want to engrave them, don't actually engrave them yet.
>Wait for water to thaw, then construct floors over the water.
>Enable engraving labor for Dwarf/Dwarves.
>Floors should get smoothed/engraved.

I only encountered it once, and it was sometime last year, so don't take these steps as gospel.

Stonesense won't do full-fort screenshots on anything but Software mode, but since my computer sucks and Software's the slowest mode there is, trying to get the thing to take a screenie is like trying to host a World of Warcraft server on 56k. So, instead here's the main above-ground z-level taken from ingame:

Back more on-topic, a picture is worth a thousand words, especially when the picture contains actual words *cough*:
