Inadvertently sadistic and compulsive actions in the pusuit of perfection is dwarven.  Going out of your way for anything, including functionality, sadism, and compulsiveness is not dwarven in the slightest.  Perfection is what matters!

I just use oneseveral levers for every little thing.... or put it right next to the things they're for improbably flooding room.

You can never go too deep.
This is advice that is true in every situation. You can never go wrong with this advice.
Also, ontopic, just two levels will trap anything that cannot fly.
And one will trap anything that cannot swim.

No, non e of them do. As for the token thing, a combination of [CURIOUSBEAST_ITEM] and [EQUIPS] might lead to creatures having weapons, but it wouldn't be reliable at all.
That was what I ment, that they sometimes get stuff from stealing. Also the wiki says that merpeople sometimes have stuff but I don't know if that is true:)
Sounds like an experiment; FOR SCIENCE!
