Congrats, you exist! Who are “you”, you may ask? Well, you are a manifestation of an Alien Race! That is nice and all, but as of late, other races have been dying off due to a threat which is as yet unnamed by your race! The question is, can YOU make sure that your race survives this threat?
Wait, what IS your race again? And you forgot what the planet looks like anyhow…
Well, yeah. I felt like I need to stretch my writing skills a bit. Feel free to make the race, but I have to make some guidelines… as spoilers below will show. You get 10 points. Happy spending.
Choose one. Keep an eye on the number to the left, as that is the point cost.
0 Animal- Your race is an animal. No kidding, you are not civilized at all. No tools, just your instincts. Expect to be a bit jumpy.
1 Caveman- Your race is quite simple. Simple tools, a bit of comprehension of the outside world, that sort of thing. Still a bit jumpy.
2 Antiquity- Your race has discovered copper! Also, they are beginning to build cities, so I guess that is a bonus?
3 Roman- Your race is relatively enlightened. You can use bronze, and are also using iron. Empires are forming here. Not very jumpy.
3 Medieval –Your race is in the Dark Ages. They have many things, but they are very jumpy.
4 Late Medieval – Your race is leaving the Dark Ages. They have the things of the era, minus the jumpy-ness.
5 Renaissance – Your race is much more civilized, and much more obcessed with Antiquity. More tech, and more production as well!
6 Imperial- Your race has began forming the empires, similar to the ones of old. Expect much more organization, and well, gunpowder.
7 Romantic- Your race has improved their guns, and have changed their beliefs. More tech, less jumpy, but a wee bit less control.
8 Modern- Your race has improved their guns, mastered flight, and mastered the land. Maybe you are set to the skys? Most tech, not very jumpy, less control, and something secret…
Just keep it realistic, and you’ll be fine. You can spend points to make it nicer and more habitable landmass, though.
Keep it realistic, and you’ll be fine. Starting population will be a combination of planet quality and the points not spent on anything else.
