I can tell them apart pretty easily, but there could be more, e.g. broader/thinner noses (well, broader or a lot more broader than that for dwarves)

Here's what I was doing, not particularly DF related, but the original idea was, and the goblins look like how I would visualize goblin thieves/sneaky types in DF, I guess if the people at the entrance of the cave were shorter it would qualify.

Hah! Thanks, any suggestions? The idea is two light sources (being the fire and the moon)

EDIT: Update (started working on it again)
Spoiler:  WIP 2 (click to show/hide)

EDIT 2: FINISHED! Tell me what you think. Don't be too harsh? :)

Well, I finally got to properly work on something tonight, I'll post what I've done so far, yes, the green head is of a goblin, with a mohawk, but I haven't properly shaded or coloured it yet, so it looks.... Odd. If there's anything EXTREMELY wrong with it so far, tell me before I finish it and realize, would be appreciated.

Good for a practice!

And I've just failed the things I tried today, sorry, I'm trying to make something half decent.

Well, from what I remember, one was a billowing cloud of ash, smoke and fire, and another was some kind of saurian creature, and the last was a horned demon with 4 arms and long claws

I don't remember my dreams all to often (maybe once a week), but all the dreams I remember occur in the same way. They're all extremely vivid, for a start, and the environment I'm in is sort of blue, and it's usually based on reality. I seem to be able to control them, but it kind of feels like I have proper control, I'm subject to the universe that I dream in. There are lots of themes in my dreams that recur a LOT, and most occur near or extremely distant in the future, and there always seem to be screens everywhere, sometimes showing odd figures and strange sentences, more often displaying people I don't recognize.
That's not to say my dreams are boring, they're either at the extreme of power or the extreme of helplessness for me, like commanding an armada of spaceships or running in terror from an impending meteor strike, but my 3 latest dreams have been a bit different, all of them were set in a fantasy setting, where I was battling a creature or demon of some sort in slow motion, odd.

I'm babbling, though. *shot*

I should really draw something, but I'll have to install my tablet on this old laptop I'm using (my proper one's AC Adapter died and I'm getting a new one shipped in)... Should I do it?...

Nice work in MS Paint Deon! I just don't get how some people draw the things they draw in it...

Hmm, trying to think of what to work on now...

It's originally from Baldur's Gate. Icewind Dale is more hack-n-slash on a straight rail of maps, BG was funnier for me.
Oooh! Dangit, I have Baldur's Gate, why didn't I realize?... Well, I have all the Infinity Engine games.
All start from this level. Practice x 1000 usually improves it :). I want to see more things from you, that zombie was cool.
I know, I'm quite proud of my improvement so far, it's just the "not being able to draw what I want to draw" that bugs me, I struggle with making full scenes, and the ones I do are simple.

E.g. Not DF related:

Hullo everybody, I haven't been really contributing much to this thread (I posted the flaming zombie if you can remember it), but I've been catching up with it and reading quite often :).

Fault, you got some great concept drawings up, and your style is fantastic! Deon also, your female humanoids are uh... pleasing to the eye, in a bizarre/freaky sense. And Balathustrius, you really are inspiring! (Your icon is from Icewind Dale? ;D)

I'm not really an active user anymore, but I've had a growing interest in art since about August '09, and I've been lacking inspiration lately, so joining you guys and making some art dedicated to DF will be helpful for me, I think. You'll just have to stand the fact that I'm only dabbling (maybe novice! ;))
