I'm not arguing on the internet like some little Asian girl screaming at a mule.

General Discussion / Re: Does materialistic pantheism imply a god?
« on: November 27, 2012, 01:50:40 pm »
TL;DR

I'll say it again. Anything that ends with "-ism" and is a set of beliefs and values could be considered a religion. However, not every religion has a higher power or some kind of deity. Take Buddhism, Atheism, Feminism, Liberalism, Conservatism, Racism, Environmentalism and sometimes Solipsism for example. They're all sets of beliefs and values but they don't have deities of some kind.

What's to say that this thing I have never heard of called "materialistic pantheism" however doesn't have a deity of some kind? Maybe if someone could put a damn synopsis instead of posting two huge walls of texts we could get to the bottom of this and reach some kind of conclusion.

Bit spammy.
He's not an Escaped Lunatic, therefore he's likely to not be a spambot. Try not being a jerk next time.

Also, ain't these sort of pyramid shemes illegal.

Also, if it's a straight pyramid sheme as you seem to imply, then Lyoness won't have any profit anymore from the 50the generation ,which can happen quite quickly.
"Loyalty rewards program" does not equal "illegal pyramid scheme". At least not in the United States of America. What would have really been helpful is if OP had posted a link regarding this rewards program.

Anyways, here is the United States site for Lyoness. It looks legit. However I would like to hear more about it before deciding whether or not to risk signing up with such a thing.

I watched the music video of Aphex Twin's "Come to Daddy". It looked like something from my nightmares and in fact gave me a nightmare that involved the torture and murder of lovable talking hamsters at the hands of an eldritch nightmare.

I think I should see a therapist.

General Discussion / Re: Atheism/Religion Discussion
« on: November 19, 2012, 05:40:13 pm »
A religion is a set of beliefs. Atheism is a set of beliefs that states that there is no higher power. Feminism is a set of beliefs that state that women should be equal to men. Liberalism and conservatism are sets of beliefs that state two entirely different political views. Therefore, Atheism, Feminism, Liberalism and Conservatism are religions.

Furthermore a person's personal beliefs could be a religion unto themselves. Therefore since no two people believe the exact same thing for the most part there are as many individual religions as there are people. I therefore follow my own religion because I believe in my own personal paradigm.

That is all I really wanted to say. The lot of you will probably believe something different, but that is because you each have your own personal paradigm, your own religion. That means that no matter what something will conflict and therefore will not be agreeable, as I expect a lot of what I have to say is to the majority of those I interact with.

Oh well. I'm going to go get something to eat.

Waking up to several stereos being blared and a cacophony of Christian rock, house, and soul music mingling together kind of sent me into a state of panic that has so far resulted in me eating nothing but potato chips today. My roommates are assholes.

Also someone who looked like a balding pedophile pulled up to me in his truck and asked me if I wanted a ride. I for some reason thought he was an undercover cop moments later and asked my friend over MSN if I should be worrying about the FBI. He told me to calm the fuck down knowing very well that I'm a very paranoid person. What I'm wondering is if it really was a balding pedophile if he like a dozen or so other people thought I was just a hairy seventeen year old.

My family has good genes. My fifty year old mother could pass for my sister and my brother who is a year younger than me looks like he's a middle school jock. I'm probably ranting by now. Sorry.

Scored 863 points in Support in Cosmic Break and an overall score of 463 that placed me between 15th to 19th place. I'm kind of happy that I actually did good for once as I normally score around -1,000 or less and get booted from the room by coming in last or second-to-last.

I think I should stick with support units.

Two bugs I've noticed:
Totems don't show up under Crafts in the bring item to depot menu. You can get them to the depot and trade them if they're in a finished goods bin with some other crafts, though.
The Spin Thread job at a farmer's workshop gives "hair thread", but this can't be woven into yarn cloth at a loom.
Correct me if these are recent vanilla bugs or something, but I've never seen them before installing this.

Regardless, I really like the Accelerated mod. The compacted item types help keep things organized, and now I don't have to be bothered by my cavern wood being so multicolored! :D
I am also having the problem with the being unable to weave wool cloth. I would like to see this fixed.

Yeah, this here MLP mod uses twice as much RAM as vanilla, so far as I can tell.
And my computer uses 360 MB of RAM just to run vanilla Dwarf Fortress. I have 768 MB of RAM and at any given time am using a minimum of 168 MB of RAM just to run the basic services I use in Windows XP. I essentially could not play something like My Little Fortress: Losing is !!MAGIC!! comfortably without upgrading my computer - something I don't have the money to do.

I have 768 MB of physical RAM and a page file of about 1.1 GB and whenever I use the page file I sometimes come close to breaking my computer. Half of the mods that I have tried that were something like My Little Fortress: Losing is Magic in regards to the amount of raws, including Masterwork Dwarf Fortress, have done such things in recent months.

I think I'm going to stick with the Accelerated Vanilla mod as I'm unable to even run a proper Dwarf Fortress vanilla without screwing something up with my computer.

Dammit, I really should stop reading the SCP wiki. Especially after reading about what SCP-999 did to SCP-682.
I can see how it would make someone happy seeing something as bitter SCP-682 to be made to cheer up for once.
It's not bitter, it just hates everything and everyone and regards them as abhorrent.
Exactly.
