Any spot that is exposed to light and is a Sand/Clay/Loam layer, will generally grow grass on it.

Also, caved in sand will sometimes transplant grass deep into teh heart of your fortress...

but remember, Light doesn't spill into adjacent squares.

I dunno how windows work, but Having a hole in the roof will ONLY illuminate stuff directly below it. Not the squares below it and around it...

So now the question is, Do dorfs avoid adaption by SEEING light (like walking next to a square that is 'light')
Or do they actually need to be in the lit square?

Pretty sure cave Adaption is tied to the Light Dark tags.


Exposure to light will make your dwarves throw up on anything/everything... Even their enemies!
