I think you can have negative dimensions for various anatomies.
...Like legs!  Maybe, I don't know.

Actually, I once saw a really funny amateur "Let's Play Fatal Character Creation" on Youtube.  The person doing it was genderfluid, and changed presentation from video to video.  It was also just funny content, what with the absurd number of die-rolls and the sheer misogyny of the rules.  I think they ended up with a female dwarf and there were only a handful of jobs available... mostly lewd or impoverished.

Anyway I'm a bit sad that I lost track of that creator.  It was my first solid experience of a genderfluid person, and I liked their sense of humor.

Heh, I know that reference!  Though I'm not so young DX
I certainly didn't read anything objectionable in what you said.

While I'd still hate that, I do really appreciate when people grow locally (not that I know anyone who does that! ahaha!).  Industrial operations lead to a lot of perverse incentives, maaaaan.

Me, I'm just glad delta-8 is legal and easily accessible... here.  Apparently that varies from state to state.  It eases anxiety and gives me appetite (which I want) but doesn't seem to have the mild "hallucinogenic" effect of delta-9/regular THC.  It's much more effective than alcohol for helping me sleep, that's for sure.

May 3: Partner
Someone who you trust.  Generally romantic when used by a queer person without context.

May 4: Metamour.
Someone who your partner trusts, and therefore someone you can trust because you trust your partner.  See: friend, ally

May 5:
Family: People you are close to.

May 6:
Bio family: People you had to be close to.

Night before last I dreamed:
There was a system of alchemical divination that was just, like, real.  When repairing a device you could just... gauge the levels of heat and metal and (?) and plug that into a hard formula, and you WOULD get useful information.

Which was crucial to my IT/tech job.  Except I (non-lucid) suddenly realized- wait, that's weird.  Why would that be the case?  Sure it seems to work, within reasonable tolerances, but... it goes against real-world physics and is primarily vibes based??  It's kinda magic!  This is incredible, this implies that everything can change

It's not so bad now that there are many more 2-range melee options to reach the enemies, and they aren't usually dangerous.  I think doing it once might be useful for research, and it seems to always have a damsel.

The main thing is that it takes a lot of freshness, and probably drains a lot of freshness (by length if nothing else).  I used to clear it with javelins but I think slashing damage is better (ninja stars and cutlasses?), or daze/concussion in melee.

Not sure about a research gate, but they're a good easy source of aqua plastics for making tactical armor.  Plus the Underwater Assets missions give Zaxx tokens of course, though they're longer and trickier.

I don't remember what the Sea Oddity 2-parters give... Damsels IIRC, maybe some gems?  And research on the g-g-g-gals which might lead to stuff.

Pikes are indeed useful!  Maybe spears too, and some hammer-like melee with 2-tile range I forget exactly.  But mostly I use javelins - about 3 hits takes down even the jellyfish, and they're big targets.

Weird, I rarely have much trouble with the aquatic missions.  The basic ones where you usually just fight mutant fish are a good source of aqua-plastics, though I often take a casualty or two when it rolls sharkmen instead.  Or the jellyfish with mind powers.

Later the Underwater Assets from Goblin Zaxx are a bit trickier because of the number of Deep One nomads with actual weapons, and submerged buildings they sometimes hide in.  But the drowning is rarely the problem except if I bring peasants along.

A few advanced medkits from gambling, or some oxygen tanks, should clear the drowning damage up if necessary.  I think the Brainer outfit's little snorkel is as good as a space suit too, in a pinch!

My main difficulty with underwater missions is the Sea Oddities where the second half has you fight flying enemies (on land) who resist most types of damage, and you can only bring underwater equipment like dart guns and javelins.  They only use charm damage themselves though so it's more annoying than actually dangerous.  Go at night because they glow.

Everything was going real well but a problem happened and now I'm thrown off so I guess I slept, uh, 1AM to 3AM, and then from 6AM to 9AM in a half-sleep fog where I was literally listening to a podcast while being in a half-asleep dream state where

It was back in school, and I was walking the halls.  And I knew I didn't belong.  I was turning hallways into walls as I walked, and I touched one and it was solid.  Yet I knew it was just a barrier, a good one.

Hm... right.  I also felt incredibly lonely, and cried, there on the precipice between dream and awake.  But then I awoke, thought of my partner, and...
It didn't make everything okay, because there's a metaphorical distance, but I felt so alone a little while.  I never feel alone when I'm awake.  Why do I feel alone when I'm asleep?
As they/she would say: Interesting.

(sleepy)
I actually don't know, these days?  I actually have a lot more faith/hope in my life, but I'm not what one thing I most... "take strength from" or "prioritize most" or whatever meaning of faith we're talking about.

Despite everything I still have faith in people, I think.  People have so much potential, we grow and change and often for the better.  So I guess I'm still a secular humanist haha, as a general thing.
(I said "other people" at first, but nope!  I have faith in myself too now!)

EDIT because I just saw this:

The Biden administration has filed a Federal lawsuit against the State of Tennessee, claiming that the recently past ban on gender-affirming care violates the Constitution.
Oh hey this is cool at least.  He really dropped the ball by letting trans sports be a state issue, and that's going to hurt a lot of people, but this one is life-or-death so thank fuck he's stepping in.

There's a mission like that in X-Piratez too.  A warehouse that's *full* of missiles and trigger-happy humanist scum.  It's a bit of a shitty trap.  I've tried carefully surrounding the building while clearing the many enemies outside, but there's a soft time limit in the form of humanist-sympathetic govt police arriving in a few turns.  Killing them is expensive in score.  So I think I need some swiftsuits to rapidly clear the interior, or I just go in sufficient force to make some bacon.  It's a pretty early mission.

(The chained explosions are sufficient to kill normal gals standing close to the warehouse)

Zooey Zephyr, duly elected representative of Montanta has been silenced for weeks now.
The "free speech" crowd seems oddly silent on this issue, at least on Twitter.
I welcome them proving me wrong.

Honestly, there's some really bad shit happening in Missouri, Tennessee, and don't get me started on Florida omgs.

America.  What are we doing?

REP. ZOOEY ZEPHYR: If you disallow the use of the medical care that is accepted by every major medical association, if you disallow that care and don’t allow people to have access to that, the only therapy left is either, A, meaningless or, B, conversion therapy, which is torture. … If you are forcing a trans child to go through puberty when they are trans, that is tantamount to torture. And this body should be ashamed. And if you vote yes on this amendment and yes on this bill … if you vote yes on this bill and yes on these amendments, I hope the next time there’s an invocation, when you bow your heads in prayer, you see the blood on your hands.
These words were called "calls for violence".  THEY are inappropriate!  They seek the death that SCIENCE says will come to people like me!

You don't have to agree.  But surely she deserves to be heard- and she is not.  She has been barred from speaking because of her criticism of a bill.
Nothing more.

Indeed!

And I say it exists.  But it doesn't exist because we wrote it down.
It always existed.  It doesn't matter that we conceived it.

Though, also, the fact that we conceived it is of utmost importance to us.  Now we know it.

Edit: To conceive is "to give birth". But I think it's more literally "to create something together".  Con (together) ceive (manifest, sorta kinda)
