I too join the rapist craving masses!! You are doing a great job.

...and I just accidentally stung myself on it. Yes, truth! I _stung_ myself on my beard.

Here I was in front of the computer, random surfing while thoughtfully scratching my beard. Suddenly I felt pain! Somehow one of the beard strains was lodged into my finger! I was speechless! The strain at the same time loosened from my beard. Stunned by aw, I grabbed my camera and photographed it. Then I pulled it out and... a drop of blood started to form. I instantly photographed that too. This experience has left me with confusion I am still shocked. I mean... It is beard!! Not a needle or something! The beard must be filling up with blood lust prior to the upcoming release by pure excitement or something. That would make sense.

Here is the images I took of the event:

Really interesting subject.

A pretty good attempt to a unified theory: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxECb7zcQhQ

I have read the books and they are very good and has many good points. What is best is that if you are open minded, it really makes you think.

I really got into that for a while, but it got boring when I discovered there where no other players in North America.

What would go well with that mod is sieges. And traps.

Yeah, I can add traps.

I am working on it!

For those who doesn't know clonk rage (I bet all doesn't XD): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p83_ONA9qyw

Currently I have added some materials from DF. You can also process them into blocks in the masonry, [...]
Looks interesting so far, although I would use colors a bit closer to the real rocks. Do the blocks become the actual material or are they basically solid objects? Also, what other things from DF do you plan to include into the mod? Will it eventually include creatures from DF or will it be something like using the Clonk creatures to make leather and bone crafts?

What draco18s said

Its just challanging and has a steep learning curve the way it looks like, just like DF  :P
I agree that the controls in Clonk are a bit tricky at first. Also, if you use your scarce resources carefully and are patient enough to wait for new items to buy, the single player missions should be finishable as you don't have to mine absolutely every last pixel.
That said the most interesting part of Clonk - to me - is the many mods and making your own using the developer mode...

But... What do you mean?!?! Isn't microcline eyepoking blue irl? D:

Joke aside, Yeah, I know. xP

They become blocks of the actual material when solid.

I havent really planned it much yet. I just script what I feel like. But underground stuff + critters from DF would be fun. And a pickaxe to somehow mine in rock. Also crafts. And HFS! MAybe some goal too.

theoretically the universe is infinite, it has infinite space, and infinite time...that doesn't implie that it has infinite planets or infinite matter

and also, everithing that is not impossible, happens, if it doesn't happen it is because it was absolutelly impossible, probabilities are just a quantification of our ignorance, they are only on our mind, in the universe it is 0 or 1

Well. What is time and space? Does it even have meaning without matter? I would say no. Time and space being infinite is quite meaningless. It isn't by any means useful or even definable without mass (or energy, which is a conversion of mass (or vice versa, it is basically the same thing)). Space and time are just properties of mass and energy.

Btw, the eyelids have cleaning properties... I think I will mod in a dorf race with a giant eyelid covering the whole body. Then I can still drown soapmakers! >: D

Ahh, much dwarfier now! :D

Yeah, I can't wait until I can have some wrestlers eyelids torn off! =)

EDIT: Btw, Toady: Now when all bodyparts are arranged in tissue layers and that, will it be possible for the dwarves to... *shrug* ... have the beard cut off in battle?

Wispy elf hacks at Urist Unluckys beard with a *Non wooden sword*.
Urist Unluckys beard flies off in a bloody arc.

Omg, I like how he called todays update for a "simple placeholder" when it is like 10 times more advanced than ordinary wounds in games (if they even have some). Makes me wonder what we will get later... Go Toady! =)

DF Suggestions / Re: More Grudge Stuff?

Ah, but you, Rowanas, are not four feet tall with a beard, nor do you have the ability to go for years consuming nothing but beer and roasted beer.

Also I believe that it do happens that people that despices each other really bad (we are talking grudges after all) gets into fist fight. And seeing someone you don't like everyday at work would indeed create bad thoughts. Likewise, being in a nice workteams where people are friendly, gives good thoughts and that alone might motivate the player to check out the personalities and such of the dwarves to make good productive (none tantrum-spiraling) burrows. As it is now currently, I feel no need at all to check up on a dwarfs friends and such for other reasons  than curiosity.

I second that.

The ascii graphics is charming. It is like reading a book. Sure, it takes some week or so to get in to, and I still don't know every letter instantly, but it is well worth it. I don't even see letters anymore, I see images in my mind.

I doubt I would  have the opportunity to be there so long. :/ I would be chased away by the workers there.

Embark on a place without goblins then.

I bet Dwarf fortress could gain eternal fame if a group got together and actually made a dwarf fortress.

All other nearby sites are covered with thick forests with no neatly digable places... :/
