Just merge the bar and the mess hall.

False glory is better than real glory, anyway, everyone knows that.

We were open source, when we first started, we had the problem of people not modifing the code, so it would *say* that the server was the Offical Bay12 server.

Myself, Ive always been up for open source, but I'm hardly ever here anymore, and I don't code, or map, or do anything helpful either, since I'm too busy to host, so I don't think I have any say in this at all.  =P So don't take the rest of the paragraph too seriously.

I'm not worried about people pretending to be us, it's easy to tell who isn't, and who is, once you join the thing, after all. And the goons 'taking' our code?  =P I don't think they have anything they want, and if they did, they could make it themselves, they have good coders.  Speaking of which, Penny Arcade gave us their code, and we gave them ours. They will cool with it, we were cool with it, and in the end, no one even bothered to merge any of their stuff with ours.  =P

I believe I may have struck a tangent. =P Alright, where was I..Right, Open Source.

In short, I can't see BS12, as it is now, releasing their code for the public, I think it would be better for the communinty, however for a while, there would be a very annoying wave of people pretending to be us, either because of stupidity or just dislike for us.

Their just hats, if you were going for hats. If you wanted weapons, then I don't think that counts.

Considering this has been on more gaming news websites than Stonesense, I think 10 threads is a fine number.  :P (Jeez these new smileys are creepy. Might as well get used to them)

Office wear. How did I not think of that? Cramped Space Cubicle could be another name for this game. Nice work.

The characters all look fat, though, other wise, Nicer work. (Would be a smilely here but the news ones look pretty lame.)

Other Games / Re: What Would It Take to Get You to Play an MMO?
« on: April 23, 2010, 09:48:31 am »
Challenge
Exploration
Consequences
A combat system that is actually fun (I HATE HATE HATE traditional MMO combat, and 99% of the games on the market have a nearly identical combat system, WoW included)
Plenty of non-combat activities

Plus

It would take permadeath and mandatory RP. Invisible levelling would also be nice.

Games without permadeath have no point. They just run into eternity without any threat and therefore no fun. I like a game that makes my heart pump a little when I do something dangerous.

That.

Also, character customization, in such detail where you can actually have fun just making characters, is very awesome. Robo-Lincoln was a great character I designed in Champions Online. He was hilarious. I didn't play him, my Step Dad did, but he told me he occasionally got PMs telling him how cool Robo-Lincoln was.  :D

I'm looking forward to APB.
