Prelude"There are no coincidences. There is only Destiny"
"But can that be changed, I wonder?"
"Any wish can be granted, for the correct price. The question is, can you pay that Price?"
"I... I can not... however... those others, they can?"
"For them, the future is uncertain. It is possible, but they must start down that path first."
"If that is the case, then I have a Wish..."
"Very well then."
SystemYo.
This is a Kingdom Hearts based RP, in a play-by-post format, using a slightly tweaked form of the Marvel Universe RPG system - do not worry about no knowing it, it's simple as hell to play, as it's designed to emulate comic book action and is rather free-form.
In short, there are no dice. You have a certain number of energy points you spend on actions, and if you spend enough, you win.
Cyclops has a Durability score of 3, so has a health of 9, so starts a new scene with 9 energy (by default, though you can have energy based in Intelligence as an option).
He puts 4 points into his Optic Blast action and 5 into his Close Combat, to represent both shooting a distant foe and kicking at a nearby one.
He then opts to shift 2 points from Close Combat into Defense, also getting a +1 to defense from his Kevlar vest (so 4 in blast, 3 in close combat, 3 in defense).
If his distant foe placed less than 4 in defense, he'd be struck by the optic blast. Lets say the mook only had 2 defense points, so got hit. The optic blast deals x2 damage, so Scott would deal 4 points to the mook. If the close mook has the same 2 defense, scott also connects with his kick, but only deals 1 point of damage.
Once those actions are over, he regains 3 points of energy (1/3 of his health, if the nearby mook used 4 points in his own attack, he would have hit scott, reducing his health by 1 and thus reducing his energy gain by 1), giving him 3 to spend in this round.
Gambit vs Blob
Keep in mind that the Energy score is how may points you can shift around in an action - but they have to come from a source, normally the Action you are using and a related Ability score. Equipment gives free points to an action, and normally don't need energy to be spent on them.
Round 1:
Gambit has 9 points of energy, Charge Object action at 6, Agility 3 and a Kevlar vest (+1) and some throwing spikes (+2). He puts 7 points into Charge Object (6 from his Charge Object score itself, and 1 from Agility). His throwing spikes add +2 free points to that, for 9 total. He puts his 2 remaining points of Agility into Defense, getting 3 points of Defense (with his vest), and leaving him with no more energy.
Blob has 18 points of energy, and drops 12 into close combat (1 from his close combat action, 8 from his Strength (of

ability and 3 from his Durability (out of 6)). He already has 4 points of defense from Toughness, so doesn't put any points in his defense, leaving him 6 points of energy.
Results: Gambit has higher Agility, so goes first. His 9 points in Charged Object (vs 4 defense) hit for 5 x2 damage (10 in all, out of 18 total for Blob). Since Gambit use Agility for his defense, he is able to move away from Blob, who has a speed and agility of 1 each, so the Blob only hits air.
Round 2:
Gambit: Gains 3 energy, for 3 total. Puts 1 energy into Agility and shifts it to defense, leaving him 2 energy.
Blob: Down to 8 health, Blob gains only 2 energy (1/3 health, rounded down), giving him 8 total. Uses 2 energy on Strength to throw a chair, leaving 6 energy.
Result: Gambit ducks behind a dumpster for cover, giving him a +2 situational bonus to his defense (4 total now). Blob throws a chair (3 total, 2 energy from strength with +1 from the chair), this hits the dumpster, but not Gambit.
Round 3:
Gambit: Regains 3 energy, for 5 total. Drops all 5 into Charge Object, with a throwing spike for a total of 7 attack. He gets 1 defense from his vest and has 0 energy left.
Blob: Regains 2 energy, for 8 stones. Puts 6 into Strength to throw a chair again (7 total), and puts 1 stone into Close Combat for Defense (so 5 defense). He has 1 energy left.
Result: Gambit goes first, hits for 7-5=2, x2 = 4 points of damage, knocking Blob out.
1 is human average, 3 is the peak for a normal human. 5-9 are super human, 10 is off the charts.
Intelligence: How smart you are. Used for technology and problem solving as well as Magic. As an option, you can get energy from this ability rather than durability. Doing so doubles the cost, and you get 2 points of energy for each point of intelligence (and regain 2 per int for each round).
Strength: Um.. physical strength. Lifting, carrying, throwing, smashing.
Agility: Reflexes and coordination; all else being equal, the character with the highest agility acts first. Reduces falling damage and can be used for things like sports, dancing ect.
Speed: How fast you run. At 7 you can run on water. As an option, you can add +3 to the point cost of your Speed to let you use it rather than Agility to determine when you act.
Durability: Stamina, health and vigor. Determines your Health and well as your Energy. Due to his, Durability costs x3 the default cost per level.
Actions are the stuff you can do - like Super Powers.
I may list them all latter, but I won't for now; may be better if you describe what you want and I'll find the best match for it.
We'll start with 120 point characers.

StoryYou are an intelligent Nobody or Heartless. After the fall of Organization XIII the paths between worlds have closed again, stranding you wherever you were, trapped in one world knowing one certain fact:
You are something that should not exist. Sooner or latter, you will cease to exist, fade into darkness and be forgotten.
That is Destiny.
Destiny can not be changed.
...
Or can it?
There is a person, the
Witch of Dimensions. For the right price, her shop can grant any
Wish.
You have the power to move between worlds 1 more time, one last time.
One chance to cheat a fate you never asked for.
One chance to exist on your own terms.
One note, the characters will all start at 120 points; however, the
Witch of Dimensions charges a high price for her
Wishes, so it is possible you were much more powerful, but had to sacrifice some of that power either to find her or as part of the price for your wish.
