Ahh, a mad dwarf who likes elves for their grace...maybe this could have been cured by proper psychiatric principles...

By "proper psychiatric principles" I assume that you mean "a warhammer to the face"?

Ahhh, I see you're also familiar with the psychiatric papers of Urist McFreud.  Simply fascinating reading.

@Loudwhispers~  Somehow she got a drink and no one died?  Maybe you're stuck, and she won't die.

Wouldn't this be, by many player standards, giving the elf a hug?

It had me reminded of Gemclod's Mr. Vile and his beloved elf-in-a-cage.

I don't even want to know what direction that could have gone had they not all died horribly, which is for the best considering the circumstances.

Now I'm curious...link?

This is an image of a dwarf and elf in elf bone.  The dwarf is performing depraved acts upon the elf.  The image relates to the siege of the dwarven fort and the slaying of the elf.

Wouldn't this be, by many player standards, giving the elf a hug?

And it does still continue.  Hasn't the goal been reached 3 times now?

127
Should be able to do that too.

Let some non-artifact rock handicrafts enter the undesirable bins and trade them.  The dwarves will take the artifacts out and leave them behind, probably in a different bin, eventually.

Life Advice / Re: Withheld Phone Calls
« on: March 24, 2012, 08:47:42 pm »
I'd just answer it, and it'll probably be one of two cases, either a telemarketer or a wrong number.

Telemarketer, tell 'em to bugger off.

The wrong number, that one won't be back once they know it's a wrong number.

So I keep getting phone calls on my cell phone from "Withheld" numbers periodically. When I say periodically I mean erratically every 1-4 months, I've picked up a couple of times, but nobody on the other end says anything...

Aye, I just now saw that, my mind apparently blotted out that sentence when i originally read it.  Call the police.

Works even better.  Most of the time, it's the frustration engendered by the whole thing, that gets you digging for anything that might be the cause.

Glad it's working.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: Gypsum plaster stockpile
« on: March 24, 2012, 05:01:37 am »
Test stockpile i rigged up after he mentioned it didn't work.

Only things active were Type: boxes and bags
Stone/Clay: Gypsum plaster
Other Materials
Core Quality
Total Quality

Everything, not listed, deactivated.  Deactivated the gypsum plaster on the original stockpile, and they never moved a thing.  Either something was missed, there's no way to separate them out, or it's a fussy little item.

The bright side, at least other folks are looking now, someone may make the magic happen.

You're right.  Only two entries for it, and no way to move it, they're by default dumped in Furniture, which was why I assumed it worked.  Disabling that in my main furniture and creating an arbitrary furniture stockpile that accepts just that, didn't cause them to move it.

Nor activating the finished goods entries.

There apparently is no easy way to get just a stockpile of gypsum plaster powder bags from what I can find.
