Hello there, i have a lil' issue with the program: it does not load all the dorfs. I push The "read dwarfs button" it shows me only 2 dwarfs, i push it again and again and the quantity of shown dorfs is allways different. I never managed to make it show all 7 starting dorfs. All this started at .18 version. Any ideas how to fix that? Therapist version 0.6.6.
Yeah, the more I'm using DT with this version the more broken it seems, missing dwarves, some dwarves can't be assigned labors, etc etc.
Hopefully once everybody figures out all these new offsets the bugs will start getting fixed.

you can't 'd'esignate stairs to be dug where there is nothing for them to be dug out of, you'll need to build stairs from the b>C menu, you also cannot build one construction on top of the other, so if you built a floor where you want the stairs to go, you'll need to remove them.

A stockpile can only have one other stockpile take from it, one way to circumvent this is to have future stockpiles take from the stockpile made before it, so it just cascades to the last one stockpile.

What am I supposed to do with "Zotir Shashngalįk Eddaz's green glass" ? Can it be used somehow?

Btw it means Zotir the Hellish Abbys of midnights. Died after being bisected by an untrained dwarf's bare right hand.
Green Glass FB? Titan? I assume that's his corpse, in which case you can't do anything with it until it's butchered, then you can roast him in the kitchen!

Yeah, alternating levels, make a pipe on the side of the resevoir with a floodgate guarding each level, then make a series of levers for each level(or one lever for the water levels, one lever for the magma levels, however you prefer), is what I would suggest.

Well, the main problem is if the dwarves don't live by an animal in the first place it won't be available when you embark, so unless the homeland is on a desert mountain..

First you need to add [COMMON_DOMESTIC] to them, and make sure they are normal pets, not exotic.
After that, you should probably add [USE_ANY_PET_RACE] to your entity file, this will cause them to grab from a much larger pool of animals, like the elves do.

Alternatively, if I'm reading the wiki correctly, you can simply remove whatever tags in the entity file there are that refer to COMMON_DOMESTIC, but keep the USE ANY PET RACE, this will give them the ability to use any animal near their settlements, evil, good, etc, etc.

They can't deconstruct diagonally, it's impossible!

Please do the rest of us a favor and make sure your advice is correct, because in this case it's wrong. Had you actually tested this, you'd know that the diagonal restriction only applies to building things - deconstruction is done the same way as mining and wood cutting, even to the point that they completely ignore suspended constructions and thus cannot be forced to perform the job from a particular angle.
Oh right, having not played the game for a month or so, I get a little fuzzy on the details, thanks Quietust!

at FPS=7 and having done everything i can to make it more, I really envy your problems.
don't worry, my fps drops to about that once the fortress gets going.
These fps rates are from the very first unpause.
FPS immediately after unpausing hardly counts, see, while paused, your FPS will just rise and rise to whatever cap you have set(or keep rising to the max your system can handle if you have the cap set to 0), after unpausing it will decline a bit, get stuck at one spot, and then finally lower to what it REALLY is.
