Brilliant, thankyou very much.

A couple of questions: What do you mean that it doesn't work on linux atm? And is only a chat program? Does this mean that you can't use it like dfterm 1?

I'm having trouble compiling dfterm2. When I run cmake . I get the following error:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Is there any chance I could either get a pre-compiled version or help fixing it? libicu and libicu-dev are installed, I think it's a problem with trankesbel not finding them.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: Your most complicated artifact?
« on: January 28, 2007, 07:46:00 am »
Although not very complicated (3x iron and rope reed cloth), I got an artifact iron spear and a legenary weaponsmith  . I think I need a cold shower... However, I dare not conscript him, incase he guts 3 or 4 dwarves whilst training : (. Need to ask Toady for training dummies, so that your military dwarves can train with killing each other

Hmm... problem. Oh well, my dwarf with the broken arm is now healed. My nearly dead dwarf woke up, become melancholy, and slipped back back into unconsciousness. On an unrelated topic, can you buy the dwarfs from a caravan into your settlement? The dwarf wiki says you can, but I think it might be taking the mick.

DF Gameplay Questions / Injured Dwarfs...
« on: December 09, 2006, 05:14:00 am »
After a lizard man ambush, I have 3 wounded dwarfs on my hands. One has a broken arm, one has a red left lung, and the other... The other has lost his lower left leg and arm, is unconscious, and has a moderately wounded neck. The question is, will any of the last to eventually heal? The   unconscious one is and expert miner, and I would be loathed to lose him.

DF Bug Reports / Re: Aquatic Elves and Nobles

As long as it's not it a channel and outside, it's shallow. However in a channel it's deep. This means that any dwarfs stuck in your moat won't drown, but they can't get out.

DF Bug Reports / Crashes
« on: December 20, 2006, 05:39:00 pm »
Whenever I load up my game that I recently saved, it crashes after 1/2 a minute. I've no idea what could be causing it. Is there anywhere i could upload and possibly get it fixed?

I'm using v0.22.120.23b after crashes with 121.23a (inflate error:-3)

[EDIT]I think it could have something to do with a hauling task.

[EDIT2] It's alright now, i demolished a smelter. Seems like an iron bar was to blame.

DF Suggestions / Make floods smaller
« on: January 17, 2007, 03:29:00 pm »
Too many times I have had miner drown in a new fortress when I hit the water. And they always seem to be 1 square away from safety. It's so annoying, seeing as I don't save it until I need to quit. Could this please be changed in the next ver? Otherwise, awesome game   :)

also, and experienced dwarves should be able to pass on some knowledge to the children in the creche. Means that any cripples can still be useful.

Pipes. We need pipes, for fountains, and saunas, and stuff. Maybe you can feed magma smelters using steel pipes (so you can't use crappy brass to set up a smelting operation miles away from the magma)? Of course, you'll have to build them at a forge, and they take up  x*1*1 (where x is the length), so you could build them underground and not have the cluttering up your fortress. This means you could do away with channels, but what if snakemen pop up in your sauna? Oh, what fun!
