Nord FAQ:

"Answer: When you create your Nord account you recieve a small welcome amount of Nord Coins to get started with. There are various ways of getting more Nord Coins. Every time you level up you recieve an amount of Coins. Also there are treasure chests scattered allover the community. Nord Coins can also be purchased through SMS or credit card payment. This is done through Nord under the Nord Coin tab. Our payment partners are Cellsynt and Paypal."

MOTHERFUCKERS
This basically means if you do something stupid with your money, you'd better hope that you have the wheel fully loaded or find a treasure chest or prepare to pay these guys real fucking money.

DON'T COUNT ON THE TREASURE CHEST OPTION MUCH. YOUR MOVEMENT SPEED IS ABOUT EQUAL TO A SENILE, ARTHRITIC SNAIL WITH LEG CANCER.

It has offline practice now.

Your options are Easy/Medium/Hard, but it's actually more of Challenging/Insane/"Fuck You Player".
Also, the AI doesn't automatically go "LOL U R SPAI I SHOOT YOU NAO" when they see you disguised, they stare at you for about five seconds before going "LOL U R SPAI I SHOOT YOU NOW". There's a difference. Also, my own little hilarious moment.

It was Nucleus on KotH, and I was a sniper. An enemy soldier was backpedalling towards me, and I was zoomed in. One full-power scoping later, I descoped to reload and saw the death of the soldier.

He had gone into a pose like it was a cartoon and I'd panned him in the head with a blunt object before falling backwards. It was AWESOME.
Next round I went up to the top floor, almost killed a heavy... And then an enemy pyro flamed me. It sucked.

I checked the comments. Apparently it's a lootroom item.

Also, since the pig thing has been CONFIRMED, what's the craft combo for it?

The station is about as finished as a sandwich without bread or butter.

We don't even have a goddamn ENGINE, there's several spots that are giant rooms of four walls, no door and the plasma research lab looks like it should do by the end of a round at the beginning of the round.

I managed to get through one of the user-created levels "Balls to the face" by ejecting the kid and flipping the bike onto it's back wheel, thereby USING THE KID AND THE WHEELS AS A SHIELD AGAINST THE SWARM OF FOOTBALLS.

Trying to beat the level with bravado and determination gets your face torn off.

Also, I got through the first level with segwayman in the most awesome way possible: I got to the spring before getting one leg detached, got to the bumps before the other leg came off and just barely managed to crawl to the finish line before the guy's face made a pretty bloodstain pattern on the level's floor.

Also, Segwayman can withstand mine blasts without being hurt.

Any game that combines explosions and a ragdoll physics engine. Bonus LOLpoints if the physics engine is prone to causing the ragdolls to bug out.

The game is so slow during missions and the screen-edge scrolling is so clunky (no barrier to prevent the mouse from flying out of the game window) that I relied on the automission. Then I realised that the only thing I got from it was the enemy ship and quit the game in frustration to go and play the original X-com. You also start off with medkits. This could just be on the easy missions, and I could just be an originalist prick, but I enjoyed the frantic pace the game took when your best soldier got a mortal wound and the game became a race against time to finish the mission before he dies and sends the rest of the squad into abject pants-wetting terror because he was the highest rank available and you into pure xenocidal rage because that guy was the sole survivor of your original squad of assault-rifle wielding meatshields. also, Kikoskia's playthrough of the game before an alien revenge mission came along and wrecked his shit.

MINECARTS AND BUCKETS AND FLOWING WATER.
GODDAMN THIS GAME IS FUCKING AWESOME.

Also, my infdev map is seriously low on metals. No doubt there's tonnes of the shit in the underground caves, but I CAN'T BE ARSED TO GO AND LOOK.

I think Will Wright could still create some pretty epic stuff if he could stop watering down and commercializing all his games.

I have a hunch that it wasn't Will Wright that screwed up Spore.  I think his original vision for the game was apparent in the early videos and press conferences.  Corporate got a hold of it and ruined it for the bottom line to look prettier.

It wasn't soon after the launch of Spore that he quit, so you put 2 and 2 together and the storyline is pretty obvious here.  I'd bet he would like to do another game in the vein of his early "Sim" titles, but when he's living rich in retirement, why should he take any more risks?

I actually bought the "special edition" of Spore.
It had a book with concept art in it.

The game looked fucking awesome. Then I compared it to the finished product, and begin to wish I could take a serrated blade to the throat of the moneygrubbing assholes who were in charge of the change.

I accidentally set my ship to have only three guns and a tank equipped to it. All my troops were unarmed except for three.
What proceeded to happen was a complete roundhouse kick in the face of the random number god. Nobody died, nobody was injured, the tank survived and the three soldiers involved shot up in rank. One of my soldiers did take a plasma shot to the mouth, but took no damage from it.

Did I mention that this all happened on the FIRST MISSION OF A NEW GAME?
