Congrats Japa!

There was an online, singleplayer dungeon-crawling game, that used one of the old dnd rule sets for generating a dungeon as the dungeon.  You could choose between several classes, though some needed to be unlocked first.  When they retire, your characters become inhabitants of the town and unlock items, gear, things like that.  I'm pretty sure it is a fairly recent game.
I believe you're referring to Dungeon Robber.

No need to thank me, they were free for me too.

I guess that means no session this week? Or will the serve come up later tonight?

This is looking great so far... No idea why I only just realised there was a CE thread in here.

I think the lead scientist idea is good, but I'd change it to the possibility of having multiple lead scientists, each with their own workforce and lab space. They could be subdivided in, for instance, biologists, engineers, and arcanist, and researchers (both lead and assistant) would work faster in their preferred fields. More funding / smarter assistants / better lab gear would result in a higher chance of (random) breaktroughs in that field. Of course, granting researchers access to extremely powerful machinery could have some undesirable side effects, especially if the scientist in question feels underappreciated. The discovery of Eldritch artifacts could also need a project leader, and depending on, for instance, the patience of that leader, the results could range from 'accidental activation of otherworld portal' to 'after years of research, we conclude that the object appears to be round in shape.'

I'm sorry if this has been said already - I only had time to read the first ten and last two pages. Anyway, I'll be watching this with interest.

It does mean it's Wednesday IC, though, so you can buy your living silicon :D
If it didn't just go up in price...
1 hour: Back to the shop for silicon! Buy half a pound if it would cost $500 or less.
4 hours: Cut the skeletonite into pieces. Find a CNC milling machine in the workshop, preferably 5-axis. Pay someone to cut the skeletonite into a bunch of gears and assorted mechanical components - like a box of lego technics, or knex, or what have you. Be sure to keep as much of the dust and filings as possible. And leave one pound untouched. (Charm: 2d6 + 1 (time))
7 hours: Learn how to summon slimes. (Education: Math: 3d6 + 2 + 1)

I wrote to the developers explaining the problem with kg/kN, and they wrote me back, said thanks, and that they'd fix it :)
Heh, that's great.

Except mass is in Kg. Just look it up in the 'Q' menu.

As for thrusters, they only fire if you press a direction key, so add a lot of rearward-facing thruster and see how many you can rise with normal thruster. Since you know g from your previous experiments, you can figure the thruster's mass.

I actually wish we had more infos about you whole ship. Total mass, TWR, top speed...
But his g from previous experiments is wrong, since he didn't take the weight of his trusters into account.

Remove blocks from a working design (such as your 45 tonnes - 96 kN), and add (sideways or downwards) trusters. See how many trusters you can add for one block (or for 2,3,5,10 blocks)

Irrelevant Side Quests

In which side quests, especially side quests that use mechanics not found in the rest of the game, have no impact on the rest of the game whatsoever. This especially applies to side quests which give you no ingame benefits except benefits towards completing the rest of the irrelevant side quests.
I don't completely agree with you on this. There are some sidequests completely irrelevant to the main storyline, that give no advantage in the rest of the game, that I loved. Fallout and the Elder Scrolls series contain numerous examples, granted those do give you some xp. In every game that has side quests, I finish those first, not for the reward, but for the challenge, or the story, or just for fun.

I used to have 6 dual wheels. The front 4 turned the way I wanted to go, the last 2 the other way. Which worked perfectly. Until my back wheels got shot off, then I'm stuck with 4 wheels that always turn the same way, and I can only crab-walk, not turn. So I changed it to 2 dual, 2 motor, 2 dual.

Oh, right. How could I forget that -_-

1 hour: Ask advice about ring's curse to roger. If he isn't there - and he probably isn't - leave him a letter.
2 hours: Inquire at the university for any curse specialists. Find out whether anyone in or around snowglobe would be powerfull enough to remove the ring. (Not sure of roll)
1 hour: New living silicone should be in. (I think we're wednesday in-game?) Buy half a pound if it would cost $500 or less.
4 hours: Research the use of liquified plutonium as a starship fuel in the library (Research. 3d6 + 3)
3 hours: Get to the workshop with the list of starship parts. Find out if anyone has or knows how to craft any of these things. (Not sure of roll)

Just met a B12 Armadillo, and a Jager-1. Got disconnected though.
My current design is surprisingly effective for its simpleness. Sometimes.

Not so much a forgotten game as a game I cannot find an download to.

Namely, this. The download link in the OP doesn't lead to a download anymore, and I want to play it again.

I can't help you with a download link, but I'd recommend Darwinbots as an alternative.
