I found this wallpaper in some random folder...can't remember where I got it from.

I think I read somewhere once that insects have a brain too small to fail pain... They know something is wrong, they just don't feel bad about it.
What you call a june beetle evolves into our meikever/maybug, I think.

An ancient (Belgian?) pastime is tying thin threads to their legs and watching them fly rounds until they starve. We're a jolly people.
(The official english name is cockchafer, apparently. I'm going to stick with maybug.)

I got ambushed by a futuristic mimic - a monster of biomass and metal, disguised as a locker. I shot everything I had at it, but it still wouldn't go down. I dropped two live grenades and ran - when the smoke cleared, it was still standing and coming for me. I couldn't avoid a melee fight any longer, so I drew my machete. It tore trough my armor and flesh as if it was paper, but I got lucky and managed to put the blade in its half-metal brain. I was very badly hurt, so I closed all the doors, sat down, and took out my medkit. Then the second locker in that room ate me.

More skills I could think of:

I think, if you want a 'deep' variety of skills, you should work with specializations. EG, if you have Craft: Cook (3) you could buy up to 3 levels of Specialization: Bread. This would be cheaper then buying another 3 levels of Cook and would give you an effective +6 on baking bread, still only a +3 for other cooking skills.

I'll read and give feedback on this tomorrow, if you don't mind the wait. For now, it might be helpful to have a list of pages on the front wiki page.
Oh, and I'd love to help, anything you need, but I'll be available only from early July.

You know, I have time for words. So you can add me and Sensei at the back. Or somewhere along the line. If you want to. No pressure.

This is great news! If you need another player, be sure to let me know.

Ehh... I have a bottle of shampoo, no idea what's in it, that's about it. Never had split ends though. Thanks for the hints anyway. Never done a braid, so that's going to take some trying.

And Ameablable: I want that shirt. Well, maybe not that one, but one just like it. Is it custom-print? Or is there a DF-shirt sale I missed?

But taking care of hair is so much work... Plus, Loki is beardless. Shaving is even more work.
Well, if I ever get to a hairdresser and accidentally shave that same day, I'll snap a picture. Till then, you'll have to use your imagination and/or photoshop if you want a slightly fatter loki :p

You could use the X-Com logic and make the crossbow ( / scatter laser) pump-action just because it looks slightly more badass.

Couldn't have put it better :)

I had to shave today... Thought I'd share this moment of mourning.

I'll have to skip this one.

Neither did I. Don't think anyone I know ever did it. But congratulations nevertheless.

So let me get this straight. Some people are worried that women are trying to lock each one of us men in our own little world.
We're men. Men who, at least once in our lives, played dwarf fortress. Men who frequent internet fora (or at least one forum). We are locked in our own little world anyway, don't need a woman for that :)
