Bayard glanced behind him. It was interesting, how the confidence of the veterans seemed to be comforting the newcomers. Apparently they'd fought with this Cromwell's forces to great effect before, and so looked to the coming battle with little concern. A good way to break in the new troops, he supposed.

Argoss, however, was still concerned about arriving in time. He wondered if the Saracens would be able to use the city's wall against them, but didn't think it would ultimately matter. Once they arrived, the Saracens would be defeated, of that much he was certain. Strength wouldn't matter much if they were too late to use it, though, and he found himself hoping Cromwell's forces could hold out just a bit longer.

Orders: All forces advance south, assaulting the Saracens and aiding Cromwell's forces.

Oh dear. I don't think the ocean is supposed to look like a Chihuly glass exibit...

Holy shit, that's awesome. Also oh god no the alien water is going to eat me horrifying, but from far away it's awesome.

He listed you as Thundercrash rather than Nimitz. Guess you're an NPC now. :P

Attempt self improvements, if I think it'll work. More reliably, try to hide myself in an ambush location, possibly within the capitol building itself, making it look like there's an unguarded avenue of approach.

Put myself out, then try very hard not to cram the ship into a reactor core that's going critical. Move away from the Smew if it seems like it'll help with that.

"I realize this is deadly combat, but if you could disable the frigate rather than blowing it up that'd be great."

Woops..... Shoot calmy at the enemy carrier

He's dead, Jim.

Alright, extra labor removed as well as, uh, fairly numerous errors corrected. Should have proofread that better. :o

21862
My turn assumes I am indeed owed an extra labor; will fix if incorrect, but just drop shield production if you want to do the turn now. (doubtful, but I can hope :D)

In any case, I'm not sure I want to see Cheddarius' industrial revolution. Though that would certainly be a more ingenious combination of two techs than I'd have expected.

I've got the best idea for a trap that warns people and yet does not give them the prior knowledge to avoid the trap.

Chain up Admiral Ackbar in your living room and have him savage any strangers that break in.

SO sigged. The mental imagery is way too hilarious.

Imagine this entire turn in Peter Cullen's voice for extra hamminess.
I didn't start doing this until pretty late in the post. It's pretty hilarious, I recommend it. :P

Does that mean thundercrash has defected?
He shall suffer the fate of all traitors.

Head to city hall, picking off any targets of opportunity as I go.

"Attention all personnel we are sitting ducks, fire at will or see if you can get us mobile."

Head to and attempt to repair the right engine.

Just out of curiosity, would it have been better, worse, or the same if the drive hadn't been shot a second time?

Also, if nobody else uses it, access the computer's files on Xecobia biology.

And you can blame Ironyowl (mostly his rolls, not ACTUALLY his fault :) ) for piloting us up the carriers ass :)

Sadly quite true. Command might want a word with me about that. :P

Presumably not having mortal eyes would allow them to see... deeper.

At least, that's the story of everyone who's not too terrified of being eaten alive to question it. Or maybe they'll regrow as demonic eyes at some point, or something.

In any case, I agree with taming the bear.

Players may not enter a section occupied by an enemy player. If two players attempt to move into the same section, the player that was closer arrives first. If they were even in distance there is half chance for each to arrive first.

Presumably the last two sentences are meant within the context of the first one.

Man, those random event tables like me. :P

You might want to double check my food and money; they're a bit higher than I predicted. Also, would 954 "extra" population round up to a full extra labor unit, rather than down to 9 labor pool points?

Any chance of seeing a ship's stats before it's built, or do we have to learn through experience?
