Innnnnteresting. I wonder what the robots would pay for any heartmetal we discover on the other side?

Use the webshooters to swing across with one passenger, then the one wearing the shooters swings back to collect another one.

Well that was easy.

Quote from: Massgraves Subcontracting Contract
Massgraves Incorporated is willing to pay $35 per A1 Locust with matching (5x20mm) ammo shipment provided over the next two turns (Winter 1925, Spring 1926), to a maximum of 7 shipments. As the Locust costs $17 to make and the ammo $3, this provides a net profit of $15 per shipment.

As Massgraves Incorporated cannot benefit from a partial order, this exchange must take the form of a formal contract or be abandoned entirely. Interested parties should sign below.

Shipment #1: - Korsgaard Armoury
Shipment #2: -  Vaux and leander Manufacturing (VLM)
Shipment #3: -VLM
Shipment #4: -VLM
Shipment #5: -VLM
Shipment #6: -VLM
Shipment #7: -VLM

Finalization: Massgraves Incorporated
Massgraves Incorporated transfers the following funds:
$35 to Korsgaard Armoury
$210 to VLM

Not a ton of point in weaker enemies, except to see what's down here.

Lower ones.

"Maybe they just want to protect the crates!

Hello friends! Behold my lack of proximity to any crates!"

Attempt diplomacy with the hexapod missilebot.

I say we go ahead and go into the pit and look around even if it's not that great it'll probably be more interesting than the museum turned out to be.

+1

Check out the side shafts in particular - might be some interesting monsters to fight.

Also, ask someone if the robots have special forging techniques for making weapons, staves, etc. They must have some interesting technologies that normal humans can't readly muster. Ask about special (non heartmetal) materials they've found in the mine - any weird gems, ores, etc?
+1

Also ask if they know where heartmetal comes from and why it spawns robots.

Massgraves Incorporated
Bid: Unknown Buyer #27
Weapon: B2 Holocaust
Pitch: Heavy water-cooled machineguns always make a statement, and with superior range and caliber the Holocaust's statement is that nobody is ever truly safe.

Massgraves Incorporated
Bid: Paupertas Defense Force #28
Weapon: A1 Locust
Pitch: Sometimes it takes some Locusts to get rid of a ravening swarm, and with a high magazine capacity and absurd rate of fire, these will do so exceedingly quickly.

Massgraves Incorporated
Bid: Socialas Defense Force #29
Weapon: A1 Locust
Pitch: Few things radiate authority or intent to save babies like firing thirty rounds in two seconds. Besides, officers have aides to handle pesky reloading and maintenance.

Massgraves Incorporated
Bid: Singula Security Council #31
Weapon: A1 Locust
Pitch: They say the best gun is one you never have to fire. Regardless of the opinions Massgraves Incorporated may hold on that statement in general, there can be no denying that the threat of being showered with wax is an effective deterrent to unruly behavior. And should the worst come to pass and a piece of Locust shatter on a rioter, that part can be replaced.

Check out the mine!

Robot antarctica probably isn't a very interesting place to trek through the wilderness.
+1!

Stealthily try to get closer to the legged thing. Maybe squishing myself closer to the ground counts as stealthy?

Nice. I was a bit worried about having so many, but Willis.

Trence -> Wave Tail -> Golden Robots
Willis -> Punch! -> Golden Robot 1
Sessha -> Hammer Blow -> Golden Robot 2
Alice -> Crackle -> Golden Robots

Massgraves Incorporated
Rifle Design: A1 Locust
Ammunition: 5x20mm

The Locust is a short, stocky rifle emphasizing rate of fire over accuracy or caliber. It features a 30-round drum magazine of modest 5x20mm rounds, and its internals are appropriately efficient at cycling such small rounds at a high rate of speed.

The other distinguishing feature of the Locust is its modularity. The barrel, firing mechanism, and stock are intended to detach from each other with some ease, allowing the swapping out of damaged or fouled parts, and easier maintenance and cleaning.

Gah. You really don't appreciate high end gear until you take it off for some reason.
