I'd say Orcs are probably more dangerous than these Ogres; the only thing they have going for them is size.

im pretty sure that something like planepacked can be recreated with DF companion. once a material has been used in the ingredients list replace it with something else. or i think thats how it goes. You can get your dwarves to use more ingredients than they planned on using, but you can't control what they use them for. In the case of Planepacked, the dwarf decided to have a decoration for every item of history in the world, which required getting a different kind of stone for each bit of history. In the case of cheating by forbidding items, you're just adding generic decorations.
how?
i made a fortress on top of some goblin towers one time, just so i could check out goblin architecture, and when i rendered the map in 3dwarf i noticed 2 things:
1) Stuff
2) there was a giant fucking pit about 2 z levels down
Oh, also, Unicorns would turn up in all biomes. And be perpetually furious.
Nations rise and fall based on the location of that stack.Nothing but the purest fishcaramel.
Wait, what level is your cook, Legendary +9001? Because that's the most epic food stack I've ever seen.
Just Talented. Imagine the epicness had he been legendary, and that had been a stack of masterwork roasts.
You could buy off the entire world with a single stack.
Heroes becomes themselves and die protecting, attacking and searching for that roast.
Universes collapse and are born with that roast intact.
You have created a god.
What's even more intersting is that she (yes I named a she Thor) has no lover/husband and "Is gaurded in relationships with others". Whether it's all by accident, or fate, I cannot say.
Considering she probably got that name by smashing goblin/orc skulls, the "Tender" part is in doubt.
If you embark somewhere with an underground pool and use reveal you can watch it drain.
Also if you pour water on it from several z levels above, it won't flood.
Last bit is easily the best, how many dorfs did you lose?
By the time I noticed, about 40 had been impaled on the spikes (out of a population of 180.)
Something I noticed: if I surround the cage with some military, the prisoner won't fight when I take him out - he lets himself get taken wherever I designate his pit.
What makes them enter the room?
What are they in there for? Is that a well I see in the middle?
It's not an artifact well, is it? o-o;;
