In some windows keyboard settings are tied to particular windows.

Run DF first, then change to english. (if this won't work, use shortcut to change it)

suggestion: you cant recycle coffins, but you CAN recycle tombs. If the original owner croaks, throw away the coffin (or build it elsewhere), and assign it to another happy owner.
First human thought: This is awful.

NOTE: Is it possible to have a metal only available for battle axes, or is the distinction only made for crossbows and picks (or whatever else silver can't be used for?)

Nope. All melee weapons or no melee weapons
Are you 101% sure?
Smelter reaction that needs only this metal, and produces axe would not work?


Also an Idea:
  Additional geological layer: Pertified elves, goblins, elephants and dwarves layer. Occures where ancient dwarves had fun with magma. (like pompei)

2) We're having trouble draining the aquifer. Possibly this is caused by our outflow point being frozen,
Frozen?
It its winter (or ever-winter), just exposing channeled aquifer titles will froze it, so you need to make 3x3 hole from surface to aquifer and carve stairs/ramps in central ice piece.
(Sorry for my english, I'm obviously non-native speaker/writer)

Kinda like was done in early isometric RTS games like Age of Empires.
posts like this make me feel old.

Anyways. Great job with that mockups.

Without toady's intervention, we could make visualiser out of this(like 3Dwarf), and then optimize it to make it usable real time (as additional window).

they can't "jump" down onto the bridge. For some reason however, caravans can.
Can caravans fly up on bridge?
