Its my first post in this thread, so I must say I admire your good work.

I like eastern themed humans.
Dwarves are already one of most "europe-medieval"-themed races so I'd love variety those human sprites give.

(Add some indian-like elves, chineese kobolds, eskimo-troglodytes and we have almost every theme included :P oh, and space orcs.)

And Ice blocks melt indoors in my Df.

Food would be nice solution, if cats would feed only on vermin and rotten food. (and breed only when they have food surplus == well fed)

btw:
Are you all really suffering so much from catsplosion?

Single cheap cage near food deposit, for all newborn kittiens works very well for me.
(both dwarves and cats hang out there, so kittiens never adopt anybody)

It was not melting, just turning into stone ice. (Called water)
And making up stairways on almost same spot works fine.

I've never did any glass, so I wanted to make some.
I have bad luck though, all my sand is aquifier.
(I broke through it with FREEZE, the map is frozen in spring)
Is there any trick to obtain sand from aquifier title?

When I was breaking through aquifer with Ice, I tried to carve Up/Down Stairs (X ones).
It instantly turned into water (stone).

Reproduced it on frozen pond.

Up Stairways and Down stairways works fine.

PS. (Everwinter maps are fun  ;D )

This error can be caused by terminating dwarf with ctrl-alt-del.
I have this error now. :(

Generally speaking DF is crazy stable. My experience with mass market computer games is that almost all of them will crash sometime during your first or second lengthy play session. DF is much better than that, unless you start doing something silly like draining lakes. Then it gets a bit tetchy with you.
Its so stable because it is made by one person, IMHO.

I am having same problem, using 32 bit machine.
Using Mayday's too.

I have this error when I try to open adventure or legends mode with current world.
(I can play legends mode with new world without problems)
I used terminate process on df two times.
