Also:  7.50 for farcry2 is worth the pennies if you are looking for a fun, meat and potatoes shooter imo

I'd disagree...I got it with the Ubisoft complete pack awhile back, and found Far Cry 2 to be dreadfully repetitive, although it had some interesting mechanics.  Also, the vehicle mechanics were awful, especially considering the amount of time you spend driving them.

Same here, sweet.  Although I'd sincerely hope to be, I just built this thing in January. 

Time to get Windows 7/TrackIR/that triple monitor solution.

If you're even slightly handy, I'd recommend Freetrack instead of TrackIR.  Gets the same capability for about $25 worth of parts and an evening of work.

As a fan of ArmA2 and what BI has done, I'm just going to say that the premise of their campaign sounds fucking stupid already. Look, BI, would it really hurt you to pay for a campaign writer that doesn't write bad Tom Clancy fan-fiction for once?

For some reason I've gotten the vibe that Cold War-type scenarios are still the big thing in East Europe...I can't quite place my finger on why I've gotten that impression, though.

5 euros for the pack ain't bad though.. but it's still time and money.

It had a decent enough single player campaign to be worth it.  It also makes a nice tech demo for testing new machines.

I picked up Arma 2 for $8 on the Steam sale this past week...I'm now wishing I'd picked up the combined pack; I'm loving this game to death.  I don't suppose there's any way to get OA without paying the extra $40 on Steam?  No sales or breaks for owners of Arma 2?

That was pretty awesome.  And at least one guy there had decent radio discipline.  I picked up this game since I haven't played a decent squad sim since America's Army 2.8.3...I'm looking forward to it now.

I'm in the beta as well. I'm Thendash on there like usual. Anybody want to play some AoE2? I miss that game so much!

I might be up for some Conquerors at some point, but school owns my soul for the next week.

Also Freespace 1&2 have very immersive stories where you take the role of a regular fighter pilot in the midst of a brutal, bitter and losing battle of survival against an unrelenting foe bent on complete wipeout of all human race. I have yet to play a game that can communicate the sense of scale (physical and emotional) so well.

FreeSpace 2 did an exceptional job with that...you really felt like you were doing your part to prevent humanity's extinction, often at great cost.

What does this do?

Supposed to be an IM client/LAN tunneler/social network tied into one.  I'm curious to see how well the tunneling bit works, although I use Hamachi for filesharing too, so it's not a replacement.
