But the fires would stay in a reasonably close area. As I would imagine liquid fire works differently than normal fire. Besides, that's why you make underground forests!

Right now, Liquid Fire is of no use but as a trade good. I think we should change that. It would be great in the 'q' menu of our siege engines, you could have the option to 'u'se fire. Right now, catapults aren't that effective... but if those rocks were turned into massive fireballs, then the goblins would have something to fear! It would be much more damaging than fire, as its effect would be near-instant. Perhaps for every time it bounces, a small explosion of liquid fire occurs, torching anything that gets to close.

It could also be used in ballistae, and it would turn the arrow into a bolt of firery death!

Not a bad idea, but I think this should be reserved for the upper nobles (king, govenor, count, maybe bookkeeper, etc. etc.)

And, er, maybe stonefall traps should only be constructible when there is a roof overhead? Unless this has already been fixed. I've seen maps on the DFMA with them outside, so...

Very good idea. Also, I think that armor (plate mail especially) should impede on a squad's ambushing ability. It is, after all, noisy (clank clank) and reflects light. Thus, having a lightly-armed marksdwarf squad would be a better choice than having a dozen steel-clad champions for ambushing purposes.

Settle near a major river on the world map and you'll see that they get much, much bigger than that.
