Nah. I'm rolling tonight. Depending on how I do the tribunal the write-up could be another long one. Expect it tomorrow or Friday.

Edit: Rolling now! Pay no attention to the fact that I created another forum game. This one + my schoolwork takes priority.

Edit 2: Doh. Forgot to update the game state. I don't want to put off rolling the turn for much longer, so I'm just gonna go with what we have. The worst that could happen is Zrallin gets in a fight and I don't take his new cloak into account, or somebody roll with a skill level one lower than it should be. I'll update both turns later.

Edit 3: I'm just gonna roll the tribunal for now. Should be a quick write up and will give everybody a chance to change their actions for the turn a head in light of the results. If it is short I may even be able to get the write up done before I crash. Still not sure what system I'm gonna use to decide it, so I'll wing it.

Edit 4: The dice hate you guys... but the good news is Disaed caught the 1/5th chance of not dying on his brain damage roll. Write up coming soon. It should be short but sweet.

So, to clear that part up, does Eliphas have air power or not?

I would say not initially, as that falls under the jurisdiction of the Dark Mechanicum, not the Word Bearers.

Well then, all Kane has to do is throw a bunch of units at Eliphas' forces to soften him up for the Obelisks.

There could be more than table pounding. With a 10/10 Caboose could start throwing ice missiles around if it looks like he is losing the argument. Caboose also gets the advantage of overseeing the proceedings, as everybody thinks it was him who proposed the tribunal in the first place.

True, they are fairly weak armored. But they shoot pretty fast and with enough missiles you'll eventually hit them all.

Also, Beam Cannon-boosted obelisks or normal?

If Kane has enough of them, and Eliphas lacks airpower, I'd say it doesn't matter. But if Kane is using both Venoms and Obelisks it would make sense he'd have a few beam cannons around to work with both.

Gah, if this was normal Marines I would have suggested a drop pod assault into the main base.

Now does these "stealth tanks" have a cloaking field or what?
They are cloaked, and only become uncloaked if either
a) detected
or
b) firing missiles.
The cloak comes back up pretty quickly. 20 of them + good strategy (and removal of most of the stealth detectors beforehand)  pretty much will win if you do it right.

Also, Hovercraft are not good near Tiberium. (no idea if 40K has them,but just mentioning it.)

They don't have much in the way of armor or anti-infantry weapons, so they ain't god machines. I'd reckon that Kane would be better off fielding Avatars and Venom Gunships against heavily armored space marine infantry types. Eliphas may be in trouble if he lacks air power; Obelisks eat up infantry and armor alike.

Okay. Minor technical difficulties folks. I pasted all the character creation PM's into one word document, but I forget what I called it. I'm still looking, but there is a chance I forgot to save it at all.

I would like Pillowkiller and one of my Dawn Elf players to send the PM's I sent them back to me. From those I should be able to put together Vorthon's options.

You'd have to look for some soft soil, which is not particularly common in the caverns.

I didn't know You wanted to keep it Ochita, and it was the only small container available at the time so I gave it to her after the surgery.

Also chances are I won't get Vorthon's character sheet options ready for him tonight like I said I would. A friend of mine just gifted me a code for that minecraft game I've been hearing so much about. I'll get back to RP stuff tomorrow.

Edit: KineseN, I'm pretty sure the only digging implement we have right now is Karratans pick. And he is using it for a coal hunt next turn.

Battle Conditions Set!
Both Eliphas and Kane have arrived on a lush world, ready for conquering, and their forces have encountered each other!
The NOD forces are pinned down in a highly defendable position, while Eliphas's troops are assaulting them.
Both forces have been highly diminished by this point, worn down by multiple indecisive battles.


Well this breaks the "Combatants don't know each other" rule if they have already had indecisive battles. Prior battles tip the scales in Kane's favor for three reasons.

1: Kane is most likely a better leader, so he will be better able to adapt his to what he has seen from earlier battles.
2: According to other posters in this thread Eliphas's units and equipment are far less expendable than Kane's (Somewhat mitigated by the fact that they are on a fresh planet I guess)
3: Kane will have had time to seed and spread Tiberium, and he has been known to use that stuff to his advantage every so often :p

The only thing I can think of that may work to Eliphas's advantage is that he has NOD pinned down, possibly forcing Kane to partake in more conventional battle tactics, at which he is less successful.

Disclaimer: Everything I know about Eliphas I learned from this thread, so I may be missing something.
