The more I hear about the stuff those guys planned, the more I like them.
I could imagine this game being a mix of DF, Tropico (the first one, at least) and a bit of Majesty..maybe a bit of StarTopia too (my fav game when I was around 15....5 years ago.)

They really know how to make this game fun and to add replayability, exploration and 'discover-by-yourself' elements.
It's a bit sad, though, that they are only two guys, so it'll take sometime.
But I'm pretty sure the game will be awesome on release.

My stance on piracy:

If you want to torrent something, go right on ahead. It's completely fine, probably most of us have done SOME kind of pirating over the years. However if you want to brag about it to everyone and announce practically with a megaphone on the internet that you are in fact torrenting things illegally, you are a horrible person.

That means if you give *free candy*, as long as you don't tell anyone, it's alright?

Don't talk about torrenting games on commercial websites. It's bad for business.

My guess is that, like someone else said, it's more about ethics than anything else.
You already own the game, you don't need to feel bad about downloading the game because you already paid for it.
Also I'm not expert in this subject, but I'm really interested about it, and as long as you don't seed the game (as your intention is actually to get a working copy), it should be okay.

About posting on forums, they (and all other commercial forums) probably think talking about torrents will lead to links for pirated versions of the game, thus leading to less sales...."It's bad for business".

I personally think sharing is cool, because releasing broken games, not releasing demos at all (forgot this one), or saying that you don't have intentions to patch to a game you just released (sorry for poor sources) and all that crap seems to be a trending in the gaming world.

And I don't wanna sound like a fanboy, but Minecraft was (IS) my best game buying-experience of all time.

Sorry, there are TOO many...But:
Many quotes from X2, X3 and X3:TC computer voice (Betty), that I can't remember.
And many quotes from Fallout 2, 3 and New Vegas that I found awesome but can't remember either.
There's some on Chrono Cross (especially it's ending) that are great..

Well, at least it'll make sense to make passenger transports and troop transports, instead of just a hueg warship that has it all.
