That's funny!

BTW, did you set up a hospital to try to get him treated?

Is Age of Empires Online out yet? I've read that that's going to be a FTP MMORTS. Same with End of Nations.

Pikmin (if you have a game cube or wii) and Overlord (multiplatform) come to mind.

Edit: In the reviews I've read about it (though I haven't played it myself), Brutal Legend may also fit your action/strategy hybrid criteria.

You know, I had the same thought as the OP when I was taking a course on modern Irish history. A game based on the Irish revolution (and maybe also the Troubles? Although as others have said, that's still a volatile situation despite the Good Friday accords... but hey, controversy sells games... or gets them banned in Australia  :P...) with GTA-esque gameplay could be fun.

So there I was, playing PL_Badwater... my entire team was comprised of medics (except for one sniper)... it was glorious!

We won on offense and barely lost of defense.

(And then we switched to no-scope snipers and gunslinger engies... also awesome!)

Looks interesting.

All I know is, until dark towers, forest retreats, and mountainhomes are back and working properly, the goblins, dwarves, and elves in my worlds will be modded to live in cities.

Watch them add guns or farting next.

Guns will likely be modded in soon after release, and farting... someone needs to get on that!  :P

But seriously, if Skyrim has ogres like Oblivion's, farting would be a neat touch for those monsters.

I don't play PnP rpgs, so can't recommend anything, but a thought occurred to me while reading the OP: Have you asked your prospective player what sort of setting she would prefer? Maybe she'd much rather play a Sci-fi rpg than a fantasy one, for instance?

True on the video ram, but the way the card names are set up it's hard to tell what's better than what.  Those numbers often seem pretty arbitrary.  I remember having an ATI card that was something like a Radeon 9500.  With the way the numbers appear to work you'd think that would be like the next generation model currently in development.

I know, right? I wish they'd just number the cards by the order in which they were released. For cards that are specialized for a particular set of tasks, just toss words at the end of the card name like "professional" or "home edition".

Alas, it wouldn't run on my machine due to some GSL shader thing my graphics card lacks (Oh PC gaming, how you piss me off sometimes!). Have fun ya'll.

I wonder if it'll be possible to get individual body parts as migrants?
