My friends and I have been regularly killing the Royal Jelly with tier 2-3 gear. It's not too hard at all.

Thanks Taz, that's exactly what I was looking for. We're an ambitious lot so we'll probably try to get the correct gear and go at it again, even if we are destined to fall on our faces.

Alright, I have a question for some of you higher tier players. My friends and I just managed to reach the Royal Jelly. I'm in tier 3 gear while they're in mostly tier 2, but when we tried poking at her highness she just obliterated us. I've been looking for strategies all over the place but I can't find anything.. other than a video of tier 5 people bum rushing her.

How do we handle that fight? None of us have poison weaponry.

Ahh ok, I didn't see that part. I also just found the in-game purchase screen. I'm not too sure how fast energy is restored while logged out, but hopefully it's not too slow or anything like that (edit: Ok so I think you get 100 mist energy per 24 hours). Playing with a party is a blast, this would be so fun with a group of friends on teamspeak. Ok.. now I need to convince everyone I know to try this out.

This game is really awesome. I love the animation style, it all feels very solid. My question: is this a freemium game? I haven't played enough to find out.

Looks interesting, I think I'll try it out right now.

I used to play this a lot. After getting bored with construction servers I started playing one of those RP mod game modes, I can't quite remember much of it. But it was a ton of fun once I figured it out.

Now gmod just seems kind of boring. I don't regret the purchase though, many good times were had.

Tip: If you're thinking of buying this game, you should probably have a friend to play with.

Ahh, that's a great answer. Thank you. I've always been worried that it had some cumulative negative effect or something.

I have a question about the amulet of the gourmand. Sorry if it has already been answered, I couldn't find anything in search.
In the item description, what does it mean when it says "... but these effects on the wearer's digestion are cumulative over time and initially small"?

Alright that's it, I now feel inclined to create a new thread titled "My rant on rants on modern video game rants." Don't act surprised, you've forced me to do it.

Meh, this petition doesn't make much sense to me. I don't even see the underlying issue as much of a big deal..

DAO was worse about it, you could completely ignore Kaiden after you grab Garrus or Wrex. Alistar, though he was amuseing atleast when he wasn't whineing, on the otherhand is all over the place. Sten is my favorate companion from DAO, bar none.....well besides Dog, but that's obvious. The "Secret Companion"(do I even need to hide this anymore) was also a good character if you talk to him enough. Varric is the best companion in DA2 bar none, the rest of the male companions suck. Fenris whines and wants all mages dead, Anders whines way WAY too much about mages, and Carver is a fucking D-bag with an inferiority complex. The female companions aren't as bad, though they have their problems, esspecially Isabela, I swear I wanted to freaking gut her when I found out what her 'relic' was.

Holy fucking Christ, there are no words to express how much I agree with you. I enjoyed DA2 despite my first impressions but the companions felt so restricting. The companion classes felt EXTREMELY restricting as well. There were a bunch of 'little points' in the game that seemed to have been blown off, or assigned very little importance.. because they were horrible. Yet they all turned out to bug the hell out of me.

Oh, and just to get it off my chest.. I really hate the voice actor for Alistair in DAO. Or rather, I hate his voice.. and the characters he voice acts give his voice no credit either. I just want to rip his throat out.

But mostly, just bragging about my epic exp lvl 13 DEFE. (S)he is currently on L:6.  I hate hydras. Hate them so much.

I play DEFE a lot. And I mean.. a LOT. Hydras are extremely easy for me to kill, I'm curious as to why you hate them so much? Sticky flame (I realize that it has been nerfed to melee range, but still) and bolts of fire take them down without any trouble at all, unless you're low on magic when meeting one.

Anyway, I know that fire suffers mid-late game, but I'd still like to know.. is it better to stick with Sif Muna, or is there any sense in going with Vehemut with a FE?  I pretty much always go with Vehemut and while his buffs help a lot, I still find myself in heaps of trouble around D13.

Every time I create a character in Baldur's gate it somehow ends up as a chaotic good ranger. Sort of like how I can't get myself to play the "evil" path in KoTOR.

This is what happened to me in both of the Dragon Age games. No matter what my intentions were when I started a new game, I'd always crumble and make a "good guy" sword and board warrior. In Dragon Age 2 being a tank wasn't NEARLY as fun.. so after playing halfway through I just restarted as a "bad guy" mage. Oops, going off of thread topic here.
