DF Modding / Re: Dwarves living like humans... So we can get dwarf armor...

And from a role playing standpoint...if you care...they could simply be a part of dwarf society that decided to trade for a living and as such left the underground to live more like humans...leaving the antisocial dwarfs back home

what was the time between dropping and returning? what is the time it takes for a site to scatter goods?

I got a question regarding the combination of wrestling and aimed attacks in the new release. Does anyone know if it is planned or already implemented that successfully grabbing a body part increases the chance to hit the same part while it is held? So for example I could grap the head of my opponent with my free hand and then have it easier to stab the head or adjacent body parts (throat) with my short sword in the following round.
I asked that exact same thing a few pages back. I'd put it in green if you want it answered.

Ive noticed it seems to up overall hit chances and ability to land shots squarely but not anything specific that I have seen...and not by much

I have found that when a town runs out of quests they redirect you to another town

to be fair the wear is accurate...wearing the same articles of clothing while doing lots of manual labor every day would only take a short amount of times before more clothes are needed....as for removing rot...no clue...you could always remove the [clothing] tag from a civ to not have any clothes when they spawn

I am not sure if everyone shares the same quests but if you go back to the town after completing a task you can tell anyone and it will register as having completed the quest.

if no one has a quest for you then the town is prolly fine...check your quest log. If they tell you to go get quests from someone else then its usually in your quest log as a quest.

Dwarf civs are implemented. They are in mountain areas and usually require some exploring to find on the local map.

they heal just like you (over time)....although I have found that if they are sufficiently injured (I think broken legs and the such) then they will disappear (perhaps they cant keep up).

Yes they level up as well

TOTAL BS....I had a highly successful human adventurer who had finally acquired full armor and steel weaponry. I had 20 notable kills at the time and I was so far invincible to all who opposed me (my weak companions constantly fell...but were replaced easily enough). On my way to get some quests from a village I was ambushed by goblins....this was of course something I smirked at. After slaying 2 goblins and taking an arrow to the arm (not an injury I would normally worry about) I was about to charge the archer who shot me when I was sucker punched by a goblin wrestler and had my skull launched through my brains...wtf...I didn't feel very invincible after that.

At least it was good FUN! gotta love the randomness of combat!

Anyone created a full time martial artist (kicking, striking, and wrestling)yet with any success?

I think the fractures affect speed only...so it may not seem like it matters but in combat they are way slower

for the two left glove issue (in my case they would only wear one at a time) you do know you can go into the military equip screen and assign them specific pieces of equipment right?

The easiest way to do this is to assign each dwarf one set at a time...let them grab it then assign the next dwarf there set etc....extra micromanagement but it works for me...

Between the new health care system and the new health care system, I still think fewer dwarves are dying from battle-related injuries per battle than in 40d.

any worthwhile combat injury in 40d meant death no matter what...even if you have an extremely small chance of survival with hospitals....the chance is still there...I also personally like the idea of being able to send my legendary fighters into retirement when they get an untimely injury...spose that means I care WAY too much about my lil peoples
