I can make Franklin look like Ice Cube; Michael like, uhhh, Michael, from Burn Notice, except fat; and Trevor like Lynch from Kane and Lynch.  Yessss.

Also, Trevor is the best.

I've played and run a couple games of this in PbP format.  Much like Paranoia, it loses a great deal of the appeal that way.  :x

The seduction mechanics are pretty weird and I don't like them mechanically.  :x  I prefer to ignore them.

Oh man, atmospheric systems would be pretty rad too.  Maybe something like having to put on biohazard or EVA suits to deal with, like, radioactive stuff (maybe like a generator or something?), or to fixing holes in your walls or whatever.  Maybe armor?  Does what you have right now support clothing sorta stuff like that, or is it just weapons implemented?

I guess speaking of environmental hazards like that, I've sorta wanted a game that had mornings be super-deadly and hot.  Having to flee underground during the days, and whatnot.

**EDIT**
Plans for vehicles, and/or power armor stuff like the Power Loader from Aliens?

Jeeeez.  I didn't know I could want a game this hard.

Hotline also often didn't work in game either. The game has a tendency to just be literal sensory overload. With constant bright blaring lights, loud noises, and loud music.

Man what.  The music's pulse practically drove me through the game, and I was listening to it like non-stop for like weeks afterwards.

Wait a tick, was that spoilered article talking about Season Pass-style DLC.

Yeah, being able to control the copbots is an expansion of the computer skill I'd very much like to see in the future.
Seconding.  Hacking a local force of Copbots or repowering and fiddling with their configurations at their controller in the police station or where ever would be pretty neato.

What about remote-controlling Eyebots to scan the town to assess the zambie population and such?  Make them do recon, to see were the Brutes and Hulks are, or something.  That would be cool, I think.

I thought half the point of static spawns was to make towns and all the delicious delicious swag in them be harder to access by virtue of being overrun with teeming hordes of zambies?  Having a 'newbie town' filled with just regular zambies seems like it would sorta counteract the design change.

You don't delve deep into the town, pick the outskirts, and never stop running.  A couple molotovs or a big-ass gun should be practically your first priority, because without them you don't have a fighting chance if found by brutes or hulks.  If you ARE, then you can technically still duck and weave through houses - unless you're doing so at night, or something (in which case, perhaps make Brutes and Hulks occasionally make noise noticeable from far off?).  Maneuvering so they don't catch you out in the open and scavenging for necessary swag are parts of the game, aren't they?

Though, to be fair, with the character I've been playing, in my multiple runs through the town, I don't think I've -ever- seen a Hulk, thank god.  I think a Brute gave me the jump once, but I had a molotov ready for him.

Speaking of molotovs, has anything been done with those yet, regarding their crafting?  Specifically, regarding how you basically need to have an extra glass bottle to make them, due to not being able to use a bottle of booze if there's too much inside.  Or even if there's any, period - I can't remember if it was specifically because of being too much, or if it was because it wasn't empty.

Man.  I can't remember where I put my Dom 3 disk, so I can't scratch the itch this topic is giving me without shelling out.

Eventuallyyyy.

I prefer ASCII, personally, but having tilesets for other dudes is cool, too.  ASCII usually just looks cleaner, to me.

What I'm not too sure on is tileset-vehicles.  That seems like it'd get weird.

431
Oh.  Jawesome.

A question I kept forgetting to ask:  Can/does Cataclysm support more than just the one world, or can it only do just the one?  You know, like how DF can generate and hold several different worldgens.

If it can't, how hard would something like be to code in?

433
I know there are fast zombies - well, zombie dogs now - Hulks and Brutes, but they're not really the same as what I mean.  A fast zombie dog isn't gonna climb, and while a Hulk can easily punch through whatever fortifications you have, it might be good to have a less rare and less powerful zambie that can also really threaten your buildings.

Or something.  :x

434
Taking from L4D, I would imagine climber/leaper zombies that could zombie-parkour over moats and walls and stuff would at least threaten a player in their safehouses.  Perhaps Chargers as well, who could do more damage to structures?  Maybe it wouldn't be as dangerous to the player as it was in L4D - no grab, and it could just trample and/or knock back a player instead of carrying them through the charge, or something.

I would also imagine the later stages would be made more difficult with NPCs - either bandits, or trying to keep the ones you've gathered to you stocked on ammo, food, medicine, and whatever other stuff?

435
I would play an endless megacity Cataclysm, reclaiming the world block by bloody block.
Hell yes. Want.
this!
ALL MY YES. But I'd just play it with classic zombies.
I would play it with all the Zombie family. Because I could jump from roof to roof while dodging lightning strikes. or push a tank zed down into the abyss with a well-placed shove.
For the longest time, I've wanted to play a game wherein a zambie-devastated civilization rebuilt towns on the roofs of buildings, collapsing the stairs and stuff to prevent zambie-incursion.  They would build scrap-bridges between each rooftop, and in zambie-emergencies you could pull back bridges and stuff.

Also, megacities sound bloody nightmarish.  I can't even get into a little ol' regular town now, there're so many zeds stomping around, and even at night when I'm not breakin' windows the horde's on my tail like snap.

Naze konna hentekorin no mono ni nattenno? Aho ka?
I digress, but man, this thread was not where I expected to feel bad about how terrible I am at moon language for how long I've been taking classes in it.
