The village running is something i'm actually finding quite fun. I particularly like later on when you get different estates and you start realising you can just ship in your raw materials and produce all the awesome stuff inside your walls.

Of course, this makes sieges a tad more difficult, but it is fun. I think i've gotten lucky, its running great for me. V1.4 for anyone who's interested.

Just play the original Stronghold or Stronghold Crusader.

Nuh uh, i've brought this game, i'm looking for tips, not a different game.

Aye, I remembered once I woke up (funny how these things happen) that I did have a game where i narrowly avoided a wespe by killing everyone around it and running past it. I'm a tad more open to the challenge now i've thought of a way to get past the tanks.

Super necro as it seems a waste to make a new thread.

I brought it at game for basically nothing because they're closing down. I'm enjoying it, but does anyone else find the missions a tad... unbalanced? For example, the first siege of the war campaign took me two hours of dying to even get close to beating and I had to go consult a youtube video for tips. I've not had to do that for years, it really surprised me.

But it doesn't seem like it was designed that way, it just seems badly designed. Like the level where it spawns you in range of some ballista and spawns your troops pretty damn close together. I lose the archers that you absolutely need to complete the level before I realised the level had started, it was a tad frustrating.

That's not a challenge. That's pure luck. Challenge is surviving for as long as you can without using machine guns while moving up at least once every 10 waves or some such example rather than just hoping the RNG doesn't bend you over before wave 50.

This whole game is pure luck. Your argument is invalid.

Fine, correction.

This is even less relying on skill because the second the game spawns a tank you have absolutely zero chance of surviving. With unfair events you usually have a decent chance at surviving depending on where you move your troops. Doesn't matter either way with a tank.

Understand my point now? (without trying to sound aggressive, noticed it came out that way if you read it in an angry tone)

Eh, that challenge doesn't seem like its worth it as a single tank will fuck everyone up.

They hadn't considered I would do anything but sit and watch him die like a good cutscene-viewer, and then start their fetch-quest by looting the beheaded corpse the Imperials inexplicably left on stage.

Actually they hadn't considered that either. It's reportedly patched now, but picking up the amulet before talking to the widow would break the quest and make it impossible to complete without the use of console commands. Not only is this bit completely unsuitable for roleplayers, who have a good chance of wanting to interrupt the execution, it wasn't tailored to munchkins either (whose first instinct is to loot the corpse before the headsman even leaves the platform).

Munchkins? Isn't that the term used for young players who powergame? Surely anyone who grew up poor's "free shit" instinct would kick in too XD

I'm still playing when I can. Pretty much only going to update when something amazing happens though. Its not been happening often, i'll admit.

I suppose i'll also post level ups. They'll be fun

I'd like to see Cassy in the game somehow. Perhaps on a piece of paper that you can consult for advice.

(Note to the scared folks: SCP-085 here is actually one of the nicer ones, though a little sad)

That has put a massive downer on my day. It was intriguing but so, so depressing.

I'm not so sure. My scout doesn't have tuck and roll

I think it's more likely just a bug in the way attacks are handled. This is, at minimum, the second occasion we've seen a trooper become totally invulnerable to rat tackles (but not normal attacks).

Third, my scout has managed to become totally immune to rat tackles on occasion.

Oh, oh dear lord. I finally cleared raid 10. Came down to the wire too.

Also, snacks, i'll give you two

So hey, i'm walking around with the Champion of Boethiah, chief yamarz and lydia, tempted to go get barbos and just go around roflstomping everything because nothing can stand against four people with pimped out weapons. This is on the 360. I really wish more games would let me mess around with companions like this.
