Although, if you can get a heavy on a recruit and you have a couple of recruit scouts, it's worth it for the raids. I just wouldn't get them for your main army, leave them for raids and the like.

Its still pretty ok to use. I thought it was up to date, its definitely similar to the online version.

Anyway, I can pretty solidly get up to wave 70 by putting all my guys up top with tommy guns. Sarge in the middle, officer next to him, a guy on the left and one on the right because fuck infiltrators, a zook behind the sarge and a scout so I know when the next lot are coming.

I usually don't even have to bother with building anything.

I think the worst part is if they run out of ammo (with 23 shots, quite feasible) it'll actually just run off the field and the pilot doesn't show his face later.

Helicopter i'm not so sure is better. Jet is definitely worth it. The tanks are debatable for me. They'll usually take out a few waves on their own if they're lucky.

Mako was fine. If you told it to go directly forward it would climb almost anything, if you moved it from side to side trying to make it go faster it fell over. Pretty sure people just sucked at handling it. Even if you're in a humvee you still have to be careful, after all.

I've only played shogun out of those three, but to be honest, its more of the same from CA. I do the whole ragequitting after a defeat too so I know how you feel.

I'd say give EU a try. I've been following that thread since it started and while I haven't got around to buying it yet, it looks like a pretty good changeup
