Actually I think that the derail should be ended here and now. Genghis Khan. There, no need to discuss it further.

And ack to the topic... This blog is funny, but does anyone else find it alarming that the standards are getting that twisted? There's removed people, skin color correction and horrible body altering...

Wis 0 (I am a paragon of lacking wisdom, I can put a 0 there whenever I want to)

I'll treat this as 1 though. It's the absolute minimum!

Well whoops.

No problem, I only care about it being on the first page. And besides, my fault for being too slow :)

Reserving a first page post slot in case I'll need it...

This RTD is based on Liberal Crime Squad, an excellent Bay 12 game. Knowledge of the game is helpful but not necessary.

Spoiler: Story (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Politics (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Charsheets (click to show/hide)

- The squad also needs a slogan - a short verbal manifestation of the Liberal Agenda. You'll have to decide this as a team.
- One slot is reserved for lawastooshort, otherwise I'll just put people in in the order of signup.
- To keep the game manageable, the amount of simultaneous players is the maximum Squad size in LCS - six flexible.
- I haven't hosted any RTDs in ages, so pardonnez-moi for any mistakes I may make
- Roleplay in the usual way - RP parts in bold, other stuff in regular.
- Remember - at all times, be LIBERAL! Failure to be Liberal may lead to nasty consequences.
- if you're interested in LCS, check the links in my sig or just go make yourself known in the Curses subforum
- I'm a busy man and live in an East European Timezone, so updates may be infrequent and incompatible with your daily life. In the event I'll have stop hosting completely, I'll try to inform you though.

People in so far:
* lawastooshort
* Darvi
* Ahra
* Toaster
* Azkul
* Krath
* Geen
* Spaghetti7

Napoleon doesn't really have a clear image in my mind, or over here in general. He managed a large military with varying success and ruled over a great empire, but personally I admire the reforms he made to improve Elba the most. It shows he was more than just a power-hungry conqueror.

A pretty (I guess? I dunno; read on.) girl is hitting on me, again. I don't like girls like that and I don't think I can trust her with this knowledge.

Just ignore any flirting (unless you're feeling uncomfortable, in which case ask her to stop) and if she asks you to do something you wouldn't with her, decline. That's about all it should take.

Nope, at least not in the version I'm playing. I checked this out a few days ago.

I've been thinking about it all right. I've been thinking about those few elf symphatizers getting angry when I give new wood cutting designations. I've been thinking about the workings of my execution chamber. I've been thinking about those goblins waiting to be executed ("We demand to see our lawyer!") and I've been thinking about that peasant who finds himself to be the new baron of Bronzecalm...

DF Gameplay Questions / Re: The DF2010 Little Questions Thread
« on: August 21, 2011, 09:09:01 am »
What determins whether goblin sieges will be mounted? I've run several forts and never had the goblins arrive on mounts. However my latest fort started of with a couple of mounted sieges and has since dropped back to foot soldiers only (though this fort does seem to be a bit siege happy. almost one every other season). only other time I've had mounted siege was the humans (diplomat got killed) and that was only the leader.

It depends on World Gen occurrences. If the unit that trains their mounts is still alive, and if their civilisation has access to mounts, then there's a good chance that they'll arrive mounted. It doesn't always happen even if a siege can be mounted - it just seems to be up to the RN God whether or not mounts will come along.

Killing a goblin noble (war leader or something like that) will cause mounted sieges to no longer come.

EDIT: Seriously, Urist, what the ¤%!@ is wrong with you? Usually my dwarves respect the alarm burrow but this time when the enemies are actually quite dangerous NO THEY WON'T.

General Discussion / Re: Things that made you go "WTF?" today o_O

I know it's from the Lion King thing, it just confuses me as to why Google would put that on their autosearch

Probably because they didn't put it there. Filters aren't advanced enough to detect meanings, and probably the worst thing they'll see there is "arse" (instead of bananas being forcibly located there) and "arse" isn't serious enough to filter it from normal search levels, I guess.

WTF, Google? I found this when I was looking for weird things in Google. Google's autosearch is weird.

Since no one explained it yet... that's not just a random sexual offer, but a jocular interpretation (or a serious subliminal message, depending on whom you ask) of a Swahili(esque) chant from the Lion King. It appears in a toy book as well - see this video.

How did I know this? Can't remember.

DF General Discussion / Re: My Dwarf Fortress vs. Minecraft debate

I don't personally like MineCraft, but I don't see any point in debating it. People seem to have extremely strong opinions about games anyway...

Do something else with friends then. We had a board game night recently.
